isn't " cootie" what American's call human fleas? I seem to remember the term from To Kill a Mockingbird.
Yes! My mum used to say it if anyone scratched.😱
    is it headlice? not fleas?

    Headlice.
I can use the flea stuff on the kitten, so he’s ok now.
I have almost decided to call him Ashley.

Couties is a slang term for STD's  :)
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

I never knew that, don’t think my mum did either.

  • Well, I’m sure we all hope that Ashley doesn’t get one of those 😨
Is this Ashley Wilkes from Gone with the Wind?

No, Ashley Thomas from Emmerdale 😀 Lizzie suggested Ash, so I added to that.
The last one I named, some people came up and asked if we had found a cat, that was 6 weeks later!
I think if anyone had lost this one, they didn’t deserve to have it.  You need to look after tiny kittens not let them roam.

  • I haven’t watched Emmerdale since it was a farm and Annie Sugden
wore one of those sensible wrap around crossover pinnies and had a scrubbed pine kitchen table for rolling out her pastry on ... I liked it then 😊

you wouldn't recognise it now. It's all shouting and conflict and confrontation. Hubby watches it whilst I'm in the bath .

  • MIL watches it ... I hear that it’s been crashed on, set fire to, exploded, suffered a deluge ... all that’s left is a plague of locusts.
