Last trip was great thanks Ante. More northern Germany this time because we only had a week. A lot of rebuilt (post war) towns but pretty none the same. Bavaria takes a lot of beating though.

Which part of Germany does your sister live in?

She lives in Stuttgart. It is more industrial city so it's not like other lovely towns.

Hello all. Cake looks good and I think I will make another one with the fruit I have left over. There is something very satisfying about making  C*******s cakes.
PF - all that guff to be read about Mr M's tooth. Here's the answer:

Chey - take them back. They will exchange them for you. Chive its marzipan and icing for my cake.
Hello Ante. I love pumpkin soup - so warming. I must look at a recipe for carrot and walnut cake. You are lucky to have the warm weather Ante as it has gone decidedly cooler here the last couple of days.
    Mastermind now.

On our previous trip we stopped in Haigerloch, which is south west of Stuttgart, and Heidelburg, which is north west, but I haven’t been to Stuttgart itself. Pretty sure OH used to go there for work though. I’ll have to ask him what it’s like.

Will you please stop talking about Christmas cake? I could really fancy a bit - right now!

Pansy hopefully curiosity will win out.  Poor oh.  LB lovely c cake will it have brandy added once cooled?  Ante pumpkin soup with walnut bread would be very warming.  Enjoy your food.  Another wet day today but interrupted with sunshine in part.  Joyce the catio is great and gives indoor cats the best of both worlds.  Chive it's the weekend for you now and some time for yourself and loved ones.  LB your day out with bestie sounds good.  Love fish finger sarnies.

They hope you will be feeling better soon and you can get sorted.  The blood tests will come through quite quickly.

I'm all ready for the rugby tomorrow Runners. Get plenty of rest. The cake was a little bit darker on the top than I prefer but I don't think it will spoil it. I used a different fruit mix - one with cranberries and apricots in it but the recipe is my tried and tested Chive - I think you asked that question

Lants, I'm with you in not caring for toffee apples. I never like the apples underneath.
