Hazel , my Rowan drops the whole leaf and the leaves are dropping now . I haven’t had any trouble with it at all . It has always been in a pot since I found it as a two inch seedling .All I do with it is feed it a couple of times a year and make sure that it doesn’t dry out in Summer . I also have a small one (about 12inches ,that I grew from a cutting ) . That is doing well also .The seedling Rowan is now about nine feet tall .
Chive how lovely a cup of tea in bed. I found it difficult to get up this morning, a comfy cat situation. . Topbird the garden club sounds very informative and helpful what a great idea. LB interesting walk to the postbox. At least the zombies will be gone in time. . Hazel hope your car is sorted soon and it sounds like you are making a lovely garden. Joyce hope you slept well after reading until your eyes were heavy. Hope all those in the quiet corner are okay.
Afternoon🙂 - sunny now but it's rather chilly outside!
Joyce - yes Wootens do have a specialist collection of 'mums. Good to know they make their way up to bonny Scotland!
Their other important collections are hardy geraniums (my favourite), irises, grasses, auriculas (another favourite), hemerocallis, agapanthus and perlagoniums (they have a lot of species, scented and special variety ones).
They do lots of other perennials as well but very few shrubs and no trees, seeds, annuals or summer bedding. You can't get anything other than plants there - it was a bit of a revelation when they stuck a loo in a small shed for customers to use. If you need coffee there's a pub across the road...
I believe they have a very good reputation for on-line sales so their website is well worth a look. Personally, I've always managed to combine a visit there with a trip to Southwold for Adnams beer and fish and chips. A truly grand day out!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Afties PF. I've just done an hour and a half in the garden. Demolished some buddleias and filled the green bin. I reckon you just leave the cats to their own devices PF they'll either get on or they won't. You'll just have to accept that you have two catpartments. Elsa in the penthouse and LC in the ground floor. You and Mr M are just the housekeepers after all.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good evening everyone. I'm finally at home but very tired. Weather was beautiful again but after school I had two italian groups in a row. But diging out 15 kilo of carrots made my day. Walking thru woods also was relaxing.
Runny you hit a jackpot with this tulips. We always need more bulbs, don't we?

Rebecca, I slept like a log and was late getting up.
T'bird, friend round the corner gets her chrysanthemums from Wooton's. I think they specialise in them but may be wrong.
