‘fraid I gave up with the drive, Chive (a little bit of poetry for you there!)

Took out the larger weeds (anything more than an inch in diameter) and started on the tiddlers but there are (literally) thousands of them. Like weeding a giant tray of cress.

Came in, checked the weather forecast, less than 5% chance of rain until tomorrow pm, mixed up some weedkiller, sprayed the weeds, packed everything away - then watched the rain fall. Not enough to do any good in terms of watering - just enough to wash the weedkiller off. 🤨🤨🤨

    Bum.

Pansy - today’s events may have been a good thing. LC thinks he’s Top Cat. Elsa knows her place. You might have to let them have some more (supervised) meetings. Lots of reassurances and little treats on both sides and ignore the yowls and hisses.

Topbird and Chive they are snow grippers and they don't fit in my usual handbag and I have a handbag storing them.  Very useful when we have an icy spell.  As long as you remove them before entering the sm or you would be sliding.  Hair washed and blow waved.  Alfie not keen on the hairdryer at all and disappears for the duration.  Pansy Elsa and lc meeting again could be positive hopefully.  Lc will have to say whose boss.  Hoping they get together and groom.

You and your OH will have fun building it Hazel. Lets hope its up before the first frosts too.
PF that happened with two of my former cats when they were first introduced. Resident cat straddled new cat - I was beside myself with fright but it seemed to be the ice breaker as they became friends shortly after that. I think resident cat just had to let new cat know who was boss.

MU it looks great, well worth the hard work, give yourself a pat on the back or rather a large Bailey's.  I've changed into my PJs and settled in for the evening.  Just watching Country file, next year's calendar looks good.

    Good evening everybody.
I was absent whole day here. Guests came around 10 am and left half an hour ago. Must I say that they was unannounced. So I waste whole lovely Sunday on nothing.
I finished my rice pudding then I'll have cup of tea and watch Poirot.

LB whole day football watching, you must be so pleased. Did you do something in garden?

MU this is such a brilliant work, well done. Can you make one with lights and decorations for me, please😉.

I hope so that you all spent Sunday peaceful and relaxed.

I Like the stained glass panel on the front door M-U.  House is looking great.

Well I made a wrong decision to work in the front garden on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I spent a lot of time talking to various dog walkers and then invited a distant neighbour in for coffee.  She is having chemotherapy and looked in need of a sit down.

Ante, I'm sorry to hear your day was spoiled by uninvited visitors.

Rebecca, there are some wonderful photos in the Countryfile calendar.

Oh dear Ante - all your best laid plans; and yours too Joyce. Enjoy Poirot Ante. I've been watchng a few of those lately. David Suchet plays an excellent Poirot. I cleared the greenhouse and did some weeding Ante. Joyce, I'll bet that you brought another little ray of sunshine to that neighbour's day. These things are meant to be.
M-U - will your independent lady have a cat?
I haven't seen the pictures selected for the Countryfile calendar but saw lots of them on other programmes when they were going to make the choices. I'll have to take a look sometime. I would find it very hard to choose because they are all wonderful.

Evening Lants. It has been a very strange year all round I think. I don't want any more rain just yet as my water butts are now full to overflowing.
