Thanks for your good wishes ladies๐Ÿ™‚

OH works about 5 days a month. Unfortunately, Wednesday is a regular day so I'm home alone until this evening. He left me with a nice 'present' to sort out. We appear to have a blocked (or partially blocked) toilet. Happy days๐Ÿคข

Just had a woeful call from Jack - he is not feeling too well so the trip out is off. I've spoken with his daughter and she is worried about him. I'll call later and see how he is. I'm not too bothered as there is always another day and I've been outside and its freezing cold. I had just decided that I needed to put something warmer on when I got Jack's call.
p.s. I haven't seen that news M-U so I'll go and take a look now.

Thanks for the welcome back Rezzers. All is calm now after a bit of a whirlwind of other peoples problems.

Almost there with the catch up.ย snuckers not included.
I'm loving the ongoing saga of Elsa vs Little Cat Pansy ๐Ÿ˜„. You have a wonderful way with words.

Tiny house is looking marvellous MU๐Ÿ‘. Embarrassed to say I can't remember how it looked from scratch. Have you added the brickwork and stained glass yourself? Love the little bell by the front door, great attention to detail. Nice glue collection too. ๐Ÿ˜

New greenhouse Hazel, exciting times ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Hope the build runs smoothly. What size did you choose? Same again, or were you tempted to go bigger?

Blimey Chey, that paper had me bamboozled ๐Ÿ˜ต. Hope you're enjoying your studies and life is treating you well ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Nice Bombay Sapphire LB, my mum loves that stuff ๐Ÿ˜‹. Your tomato plants lasted well, I pulled mine out a few weeks ago. More gh space now for winter storage of half hardy fuschias etc. from the garden.

Not everything's sticking in my brain from that mega read back, but send love to you all xx. Joyce, Lants, Runny, Topbird, Ruby, Rebecca, Lily, Ante, Chive, Pauline, Uncle Tom Cobley and a Yoo Hoo to Pottie ๐Ÿ‘‹.
    Apologies to anyone I've missed.

Off to the shop now for a few essentials and a new mop handle, snapped it yesterday swishing round the litter tray area.ย
Don't shout Colonel TT ๐Ÿ˜–.ย  That has to be one of those necessary jobs... hasn't it? ๐Ÿ’ฉ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Perfectly fine that one Kitty. I tell you what though, I want you on my side in a fight! Just been to the post box up the lane and despite looking very sunny outside it is still very chilly. I put my big coat on - just as well.
Litter trays - deep joy M-U. Speaking of litter trays I wonder how T'Bird is getting on unblocking her toilet?

Yes LB, a real nip in the air despite the bright sunshine here too. I got about halfway up the street and wished I'd brought my gloves, had to make do with sticking hands into pockets of my big coat.
Hope Jack is ok, and his daughter is reassured after your visit. They've had tough times this year and I'm glad that they have you as such a good friend and neighbour to help where you can. xx

You've done a lovely job of the stained glass panels MU, looks a fiddly job. The further additions all sound very posh, I'm sure the 1920's lady occupant will be delighted.ย  I would be, my best external lighting is the lamppost at the end of the drive ๐Ÿ˜†.

Oh dear Topbird, a blocked loo is not the kind of birthday surprise anyone would wish for. Hope it unclogs on the first plunge.ย

Conny floor is now smelling sweeter, think some leaf collecting is next on the agenda... after I've finished my brew โ˜•.

Good afternoon . Just got back from Sburys . Bought more than I intended , had to get a taxi . Going to put the kettle on . TBird ,I had to unblock the loo yesterday . In our house people seem to disappear when that happens .Strange donโ€™t you think ๐Ÿค”?

Kitty I had to stick the hand that wasn't holding anything into my coat pocket too. I am going to be hunting out my gloves soon. Cannot bear having cold hands.
PF - that extract is such a brilliant example of creative writing by Behan. I could see that sheep's head looking at me too and it made me laugh out loud - much to Lily's consternation.

Where do you find these stories Pansy? ๐Ÿ˜ฐ
The description of that boiling sheeps head gave me the shivers, and I'm not usually the squeamish type.

I remember my brother (trainee butcher at the time) bringing home half a pigs head and leaving it on the kitchen table to freak out mum. Bad idea. Piercing screams as she ran from the room, she was white as a sheet and shaking. He just laughed and said "I wanted you to cook it up for my tea".ย
I was about 9 at the time and had all my mates round to look at it before it went in the bin, fascinated by it.

It's a bugger buying more than you can carry Ruby but the bonus of a big shop is not having to go back there as soon.ย
Hiya busy Runny ๐Ÿ‘‹, don't be overdoing it now. Many brews make light work (and a leaky bladder),ย don't ask me how I know ๐Ÿ˜ฒ.

Sanding skirting MU, you sound like a proper craftsperson. I love picture rails, still got ours upstairs.

Is she still under the bed Pansy?ย
Why do you need her out... food/water/toilet?
I'd have given up after 10 minutes of floor coaxing.

Oh dear ๐Ÿ˜ž. Do you know anything about her previous home/owner?ย  Maybe it was a noisy house like mine and yours is very quiet, I'm wondering if background noise of a radio might take the edge off Little Cats wails so she doesn't notice it as much.

    Evening all.

Happy Birthday T'bird.ย  Hope you got the unblocking done and have had a few G&Ts.

Great to see you Kitty. Did T2 have a good summer?

Gawd Pansy. I don't know what to have for tea now after reading about the sheep's head and the pot bubbling away.

LB, hope Jack is feeling better now.
