That’s beautiful picture LB. Is it from Scotland?

Garden Club talk was very good. Wooten’s is such an excellent nursery - they really know their stuff, they don’t sell candles (don’t even sell pots and compost- just plants) and they propagate more than 75% of their stock on site. A real plantsman’s paradise. I have quite a lot of their plants.

The talk was about planning, making and maintaining herbaceous borders with year round interest. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a good natter too.

Away to bed now. Feels chilly out there... Night night.

Morning all. Well spotted T'Bird. That is a view of Loch Maree in Scotland. This morning's picture is in Minnesota.

I would love to have a dry stone wall like that all round my garden. There was no frost when I got up this morning and it certainly doesn't feel as cold as it did last night. The talk you went to sounds very inspirational T'Bird. I love garden centres that do just concentrate on plants. I'm sure that my favourites round me have had to branch out into all the other things associated with 'the garden' in order to survive. Breakfast first then planning.

Morning Chive (you snuckered in) and Hazel. Hazel try looking at your local U3A as they often have garden clubs as one of their groups.

Morning Ruby. Remember what is said about red sky in the morning though! I might try and get some more cutting back done before I settle in to the knitting. I need to post a birthday card to my youngest sister in Co Durham so do I go to 'sco to post it with all the temptations in the store or do I just walk up to the post box at the end of the lane? Hmmm.

Just passed a house on the way up to the post box - with what appeared to be yellow police crime tape all over the wrought iron fence and yellow and black hazard signs near the front door. On closer inspection the yellow tape had 'Enter if you dare!' all over it and the hazard signs read 'Warning Zombie Outbreak' It did make me smile but it seems a tad early.

Hazel, don't worry about the rowan tree. It is behaving normally. They lose all their leaves in Autumn.
