Ante - I managed to get a lot of cutting back done today and now I am watching Midsomer and knitting tiny stockings.
Runners - bargain price for those knitting needles! Night night to you.

Morning PF. Interestingly one of the collective nouns for a group of magpies is 'a parliament'; another being (and my favourite) 'a mischief'. My magpies have been nicking the pegs off my neighbour's washing line and dropping them on my garage roof and in my garden. Rascals!

I only know the poem that goes up to 10
    One for sorrow
    Two for joy
    Three for a girl
    Four for a boy
    Five for silver
    Six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told
    Eight for a wish
    Nine for a kiss
Ten for a bird you must not miss

I'm sure that there must be lots of variations on that poem though.
