It would be ideal @Obelixx- but it would never make it to a hillĀ  :D
I remember soemone saying that the deer in Glen Etive liked chocolate digestives [they're quite tame there] and I said if they wanted any of mine, they'd need to eat me as well.Ā
Agree re the B.Off. Lovely finalĀ  :)

    Morning all.
Should do gardening and hatework but it's grey outside and I have lost enthusiasm.
It's been in the News recently that it has now been proved that wet weather makes arthritis worse. I'm sure most of us knew that years ago.

The good news is that I will be in Norfolk seeing OH in less than a week

Once again I agree with @Obelixx, this time about Autumnwatch.

Don't think I mentioned that OH installed Chrome on my Laptop before he left so now I use it for this site and it works much better, can do the @ thingĀ  :) and smilies turn up in the right place.

    Morning all.
Enjoyed Bake Off. I think I’ll watch the Junior Bake Off too.
Hope all goes ok today @Hostafan1 . A visit to NHS is never a pleasant day trip.
You won’t get flu from the flu jab @chicky - but you might feel a bit achy as your body responds to it. Plus a sore arm ā˜¹ļø
The grey days do sap motivation @Busy-Lizzie - I’m trying to get a wriggle-on with my planned jobs today. One more coffee and I’ll crack on.Ā

The clouds are now down in the tree tops just across the road so worse not better but not the rain that was forecast -Ā  yet.Ā  The rain radar shows it's on its way.

@Busy-Lizzie one of the reasons we moved here was for the drier climate.Ā  Average rainfall is supposedly good but the latitude and proximity to the coast mean the air is nearly always dry except when it's actually raining whereas in Belgium it was always humid and also very wet for half the year and seriously cold in winter.Ā  We are now learning to live with unexpected droughts but I think we will all be experienceing extremes one way or another.Ā  Ā Good that Chrome is working for you.

I have spent an hour this morning re-cutting, machine stitching and correcting a patchwork project that our beginner has messed up, including using a non-disappearing felt tip to mark her sewing margins and which then bled all over when dampened to correct poor ironing.Ā  It has taken her 5 hours to get that far by hand.

It's for a zipped pouch/pencil case/make-up bag so now to do another and take photos as I go so we have a printed tuorial for people to follow.Ā  Teaching hand sewing is not my "bag".

@AuntyRach good result on the night but too many tears so not sure I could cope with a Junior version GBBO.Ā  Ā As with SCD - I'm not interested in the back story and the sob story, just the baking and dancing.

Just look at the pics my son sent me of his companion at work this afternoon!!!

    https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/984845/daily-wildlife-moments#latest

Their offices and warehouse are on an old Cold War USAF airbase and the wildlife is incredibly unfazed by human activity even close byĀ
Son said his companion stayed around for quite some time as he came and went carrying stuff into the warehouse. 😊
