Today hasn't started well. No milk so emergency run to Waitrose needed, got in Hubby's car to find it had a flat tyre. Cuppa and heading to hospital for final CT and MRI scans

Good morning.   OH is feeling stiff and sore this morning but had a good sleep.  Still fretting about his passengers and hoping his car is reparable.   His lady passenger was finally released at 2am!!  Fortunately they have a daughter who lives nearby so were able to sleep there.

@Pat E  She told me there was a grove of fruit laden persimons - now all gone - and no bathroom upstairs and a huge fireplace in the kitchen so lots of changes by the last owners.   I look forward to more chats and maybe inviting her round to explain more so we know what other hidden horrors there may be in the garden.

Good luck to hubby for the scans @Hostafan1.  Safe journey home @Dovefromabove.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all.

Raining again and no change likely over the weekend.
Blood tests this morning, booked for 0830, arrived at 08.15, done immediately and home before I should have had them. If only builders were so reliable.

Blimey, that's efficient @punkdoc!  My sister's awaiting the result of her brain scan so we're all chewing fingernails here, so sympathies @Hostafan.

@Obelixx, glad to hear OH isn't feeling too bad and his passengers are ok. Fascinating news about the previous garden/house. I thought I had found a well once in this garden so contacted the previous owners -nothing so exciting, it was the old concrete base for a compost bin!

Forgot to add, my laptop died on me - again, last night. I only had it back on Monday!

Waiting to hear whether they will now replace it as still under guarantee. I'm so annoyed.

Morning all, quiet early autumn scene here. Trees changing colour with yellow tones creeping in. Roe deer doe resting up in the garden this morning - hasn't shifted for a couple of hours now, even when it rained. Here's an old family portrait showing their second favourite activity after eating the garden.

  • Hello All, Long time no see - sorry just truly, madly busy here in Tea Shop Land. Amazing to think how far I've come in the last 3 years. Today is a day off to sort the garden out for winter but unfortunately rained off for the moment - thought it was a great opportunity to pop in & say hello. How is everybody?

    Hello stranger!  ;)
How far you've come indeed. How's the little 'un? Not so little now though I expect?
I take it you've had a very busy year  :)
