Sometimes it is lovely to live in an early 19C house, but when the roof starts leaking again, about the 5th. time this year, I wish we had a nice modern, cheap to heat and most of all water proof home.
Been in the greenhouse, sowing seeds, the noise of the rain was almost frightening.

Our forecast of this pm is dry and sunny with light cloudy bits.  We've just had a 1 minute session of stair rods which have calmed down to a short, light shower.  More please, tho it looks like I have to wait till Friday now.

What a bunch of unedifying politicians on parade today.

Have remembered that Green Thumb are coming tomorrow so I've had to go out and clear the lawn of prunings and rose petals, also planted a clematis.  I'm now shattered and have dropped back in front of the TV to watch the end of A Star is Born.  Love the film I've just downloaded the soundtrack.  Wish this cold would hurry up and disappear.

Which version @Yviestevie.  I like the Judy Garland one and can cope with the Barbara Streisand one but didn't go anywhere near the latest one.  Hated the songs on the radio.

Evening. Bit of history made today - not sure what to make of it all.
Watching custard tart making on Bake Off - could go for those right now.
    Hope everyone doing ok.

There was a thunderstorm with very heavy rain but we were in a Garden Centre  and I was having a wonderful time. I've bought shade loving plants, hostas, dryopteris ferns, silver brunnera and heucheras. Now I need the rain to stop so I can have a lovely time making a new sunny bed and replanting the bed in front of the kitchen. I rushed into planting it in March thinking it would be sunny but it's mostly dappled shade. I'll put the perennials from there into the new bed.

I also bought a load more daffodils and alliums, I hope there is room for them all.

After the GC we went to a very old pub in the next village for a beer.

Sounds like a great way to spend a rainy day @Busy-Lizzie 👍🏻  Think you might need your waterproofs if you are planning planting sessions in the next few days 🙄

Some work to do this morning, but then heading to Southampton General, where my Dad is recovering from an op they did yesterday.  All seems to have gone well, recovery time now 🤞🏻
