Morning all. Raining (my patio looks good for a wash though). Think we have lift-off for Autumn.

Got up early to plant some of my new purchases ......it was a genius plan as they are now getting well watered in 💦☔️🌧⛈💦💦💦

Think the rest of today will be an inside day ☔️☔️☔️

Yesterday was a lovely day.  Found my big skies and open spaces

And some reminders of friends along the way 😉

Climbed some big hills (Mr C informs me we did the equivalent of half of Snowdon 🏞) and listened to nature.  Just what was needed.

Have come across the Greensand Way several times on local ramblings @steephill, but never walked it on purpose .......I shall investigate 🕵🏻‍♀️

    Morning all/afties Pat.
Nice to see some big blue skies from different parts of the world - south, and further south ;)
None here - just thunder and heavy rain. I'm trying to keep the inevitable headache away, and not really succeeding.  :/
Sorry @Dovefromabove - not sure I've done a very good job with your weather. Must try harder  :D
Hope the thighs are faring well today @chicky. You're needing some Munros now  ;)

Everything's getting a good watering. I watched the robin and a blue tit having a lovely bath together earlier. Happy little birds lifting the spirits  :)

    Interesting clouds @Pat E.

Sunny spells here and very bright.

Remind me not to bring in the cushions from the terrace chairs!  All our promised rain is scudding by to the south and east, carefully and completely passing us by.   I might just go and put teh sunbeds back out and see if that brings on the wet stuff.  The forecast is now for damp bits on Thursday.   A likely story!

Feeling bleugh today.  No idea why but headache and tummy wobbles. I shall do some quiet sewing.

Is that the Purbeck Way @Chicky?   I do love big skies.  Might have to get a replica of that stone.

Hope everyone's enjoying their Sunday, whatever the weather.

That's a long time since you've had some reasonable rain @Obelixx. Not funny for the garden. Do you have metered water, or a private supply? Apologies if you've said and I've forgotten.
I've had to resort to cleaning. What's that about?

It is a long time @Fairygirl.  We have metered water and a watering ban.   During the heatwave in July we were saving every drop of water from showers, washing veg, running the tap till hot and so on and that kept a lot of stuff alive as did moving all the pots into the shade of the party barn to hide from the sun but also water where no-one could see us.   I've still watered when it's too dark for anyone to see so if anyone asks about our water bill we've had loads of visitors taking showers this summer.

The latest pot of toms is on the hob reducing down for passata, washing machines set off for dishes and towels.  Bonzo's been out for his 5 minute constitutional.   Time to sew now.  Might do some h*work later in th eweek..........

Afternoon all.  Wet and dull here.  I've had to dry all my tulip bulbs off because they were left out in the rain yesterday.  Been doing a bit of tidying up and visited mum. Gabriel is a bit better today, thankfully.  I'm off to see Firstborn and Merri and Mabel this afternoon.  Hope the weather picks up for you @Dovefromabove .   Firstborn is waiting to hear what happens re Thomas Cook as she has a holiday booked with them during half-term.  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

    Hello all.

It has been raining this morning, sometimes quite hard

This afternoon I will be dusting and hoovering the house and moving the horses to the winter paddock. There is hay in the shelter and it is near the house for the HS.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • You’ve not done too badly with our weather @Fairygirl
Weve been lazing on the  beach watching a big dog seal lazing in the water ... if you zoom in you might just see his nose
