We started walking to the shops to get the newspaper this morning when it was dry and sunny but within five minutes, the heavens opened and we got drowned. Not nice.
We have similar problems at the bottom of our drive @Wildedges - we think there's an underground natural spring (we live on a steep slope) which manifests itself in extreme wet weather.

@wild edges:  It is so tempting to try to extend the Runner Bean season, isn't it?  But my one-time next-door neighbour used to do this regularly (mind you, he sold his beans as "organic" to the local restaurants, although I knew better!) but the flavour is severely diminished.  I guess that tells us that we ought to eat seasonally rather than trying to extend the season!

The TV guide we buy from the paper shop says at 5pm on Saturday, BBC2 is showing Mastermind.  Switch it on, and the on-screen guide says at 5pm on Saturday, BBC2 is showing Richard Osman's House of Games.  And what is BBC2 actually showing at 5pm on Saturday?.....  Flog It.

It's enough to make yer bite yer bum!

Thank you, I've often wondered how it's done.

    Have I been insulted?
A fox is wandering about the patio. We make eye contact through the window for a few seconds.. Fox slowly turns around, cocks his leg on one of my container plants and slowly saunters away

I’ve always believed that dogs and foxes think they are conferring high status on objects they pee on. 😉

Hedgehogs making a racket here, they’ve been eating the remains of the bird food.

    Very probably @B3 😉

They're noisy little so and so’s aren’t they @Lyn ... we’re frequently woken up by hedgehog shenanigans 😊
