They would have incorporated cheese sauce. The same principle as feeding lamb with mint sauce, pigs with apples and blankets and cows with Yorkshire puddings.

I think it was a combination of ‘elf n safety (the clients’) and finance.
Putting your feet in a tank of water where countless other feet had been dangled before was seen, quite reasonably IMHO, to have potential for spreading infections. The work entailed in constantly cleaning and changing the fish tank and water was considered by the business owners to be financially unviable ... that’s what I read somewhere a while back ... goodness knows where tho 🐠 😂
