Been out and planted my Himalayan Musk rambling rose . It looks very healthy ,fingers crossed that it does well. It’s still raining and weatherman promises sunshine for this afternoon , living in hopes .
Morning LB Rubee Chive Joyce and all to follow. It's quite dark here and there's a light sprinkle but it feels like there may be a heavy downpour. The young students seem to have done well on the beeb in their GCSEs. LB enjoy time spent with Bestie and having your hair done. Chive hope mum is okay and she will look forward to your visit. Joyce I hope you have a nice day.
Hello to all. PF you nailed it. I certainly feel like that. Since my last appearing here i had two more italian group, worked in the garden and the most important, school started two days ago. And it's unbearable hot. I read your adventures but it's usually late so I collapse in bed till next day. I pulled out half of my onions and I have 52 kilo. Everybody are happy around my house. I'm free today, but tomorrow italians again. And most important thing, my sister is arriving from Germany. I didn't see her over a year.
Great crop Ante . You must be a very hard worker .Runners enjoy your wedding chat ,quite exiting .Joyce , yes it was raining , not too heavy . Ground was very easy to dig .
I’ve started to add more ‘substitution accepted’ ticks to my shopping list. I’ve found that, like Chey’s experience, you sometimes get offered a bigger or better version of what you ordered.
The chicken was great but they did swap my 18 pack of quavers for a 12 pack.
And, weirdly, my four 800g loaves of white bread for.... four 800g loaves of white bread.
Runny wedding chat how lovely. Ante have a good catch up with your sister when she arrives. A lot of onions! Joyce a dull day but I managed to get a nice jumper. I'm not a fan of wool but love acrylic. Chey it's good your finger isn't painful now. Lantana a long wait for the dentist hope you remain painters until then.
Afties all. Had a good catch up with my Bestie. Saw a few slivers of sunshine but nothing to get to excited about. According to the Beeb we are going to have a super week next week - just in time for the pupils returning to school the week after. Planting in the rain is a good idea Ruby as it helps to settle the soil around the roots of the plants.
Joyce I am sorry that you had to witness the aftermath of a road accident and you are right, it does shake you up quite a bit. I hope you are more settled now.
Chey, I'm glad the finger has been sorted out for you. Usually when you get a trapped finger you get a blood blister under the fingernail and with nowhere for the blood to go it can be painful. Lancing with a scalpel releases the trapped blood with the subsequent comfort you get.
Ante you have to get the prize again this year:

Although it said delivery between 12-2pm and I was just about to hop in the shower at 11:53 when the door went..
Off to minor injuries once shopping is put away. Finger is even more painful...
Chey, hope your finger gets sorted out and isn't broken.
Rebecca, a light sprinkle and dark sky here too. The sunshine didn't last long.
Ruby, wre you out in the rain planting your rose?

I feel SO much better.

Chey, glad your has been seen to and you are now pain free. Keep it covered if you are working with compost. Do you binge on Quavers?
Rebecca, nice to treat yourself to a new jumper. I bought two last winter and have only worn one of them.
Ante, that's a great crop of onions. Hope you're not too tired today.
Have an enjoyable time with your sister. I's a pity your holidays are over.
