Rice, always rice Chey. Oh Joyce thats rather disappointing. Have you done any internet research?
I've just had my very first play with my new toy - a cordless hedge trimmer. Got the outside of my hedge clipped, swept up the bits and the green bin is now full to overflowing and beyond. Its a slightly different weight to my corded trimmer so I've had to adjust slightly and my left elbow is complaining a bit. That is me done for today. I'm cream crackered and I don't want to overdo it. It is very 'close' out there, a lot like a thunderstorm is brewing.

Joyce, I've just had a quick search for Belgian Roof Tiles. Obviously I do not know what style yours are but there seem to be lots of suppliers on t'internet.

LB, none of the tiles I've seen online are what is needed.  The roofer will know where to search and I'll ask some neighbours but most of them have had their houses re-roofed. I may end up needing to have the back of mine done too and it's a long roof.

Cordless hedge trimmers are great.  Mine is just a small one for trimming some evergreens.

Pansy, you can sit in the sun and watch paint drying.

It's still warm now with a light breeze.  After the appointment the taxi came quite quickly, 24 degrees in the car, and set to continue.  Joyce let's hope your roofer manages to source those tiles for you.  Runny I've never heard of pickling runner beans before hoping for good results.  Chive it'll be nice to have your family for Sunday dinner.  LB time to take a break after using the cordless.   Alfie snoozing on the bed this afternoon.  He loves to lay in the bath and play.

Gosh it’s hot now. We are having sandwiches tonight . Can’t cook in this heat . Potted my plants up . Not  doing anything else . Again I fell asleep when I was reading . My excuse is the heat .

I'm beginning to think that Monty lives in a different country to me. He certainly didn't describe my awful summer this year. My Clematis viticella purpurea plena elegans (posted picture yesterday) didn't look anywhere near as nice as his due to being constantly bombarded by wind and rain.
