Morning all. I suddenly remembered last night that there is no Canasta today. The Cricket Club where we meet needs the clubhouse for something. I suspect they have a big match on so I might get into the garden for more tidying up after I've been into town to go to the Bank.
Whatever you are all up to today, have a good one.
PF - my nephew and his job. He is SO bad at communicating with anyone - including his Mum and Dad - that I have no idea what he does. I DO know that he drives a van.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning Chive. Knee has been having a good spell at the moment - thanks for asking - and I'm always happy when I don't get that sudden pain when I stand up.

Sorry been AWOL for a couple of days - just seem to have been busy, busy, busy. Flight on Tues went well. Lovely day for it and we were fortunate that an Air Display planned for the Cromer Carnival was cancelled. That would have forced a long diversion. Think the house might be on the approach / departure / holding path for the 2 day Clacton airshow - had more than the normal number of airplanes overhead yesterday.
Good result with the car LB.
Poor Ante back at work in the heat - don’t envy you that.
Runners - you’ve been busy stripping in the garden....
Sounds as though everyone is getting a little tired of the exuberant growth of summer. I always have a massive cut back in July so there are lots of pockets of fresh new growth appearing now but a lot is still a little too overgrown / closely planted. However, the wildlife and the neighbours cats seem to like the cover and shade so I won’t be doing too much with it.
Think I’ll do a little weeding in the shade this morning and a SM run. Then maybe some indoor jobs. It’s warm already and we’re forecast to hit 30C this weekend. Too hot for me...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Morning all. Hope your roof is soon sorted Joyce . TBird nearly ready for your hols’. LB a little more time to spend in the garden . Have a good day Chive ,whatever you do . I have a few plants to put on . I suppose sooner or later I will have to cut the hedge . I .don’t like doing that .Have a good day.
Morning T'Bird and Joyce. So glad you got your flight in T'Bird and Joyce, I had forgotten that the 23rd was 'R' day. I hope he can get it all sorted for you.

Topbird have a lovely holiday and look forward to your reports. Joyce hope your roofer gets you sorted soon. LB it will be good to see your youngest brother and daughter and catch up, a long flight. Chive hope you have a good day whatever you decide to do. Going with dad this morning to the hospital. Had a poor night and only slept after 4am but had three hours, need matchsticks for my eyes. Have a good day. It's cool but sunny so coats are on. Actually wore a jumper yesterday. The first of the year.
Roofer has been but the big problem is going to be sourcing some tiles to fit as they are Belgian tiles and not readily available. The buckets might be in place for some time,

Roofer coming this morning to see what needs to be done.
Glad the weather was good for your trip on Tuesday T'bird. Not long now until the motor home gets packed.
LB, hope it's dry for your day in the garden.
Third bloody time this week I've had to trek to the cottage hospital!
Was going to get some herbs sown but I think I'll wait for my finger to heal fully before I do that.
Going to do sweet and sour chicken for dinner tonight, the only question is do I want it with noodles? Or rice?
