Good morning all. Sunny day here but off to work. Got all my new bargain plants into pots and borders yesterday and got rid of a lot of tatty annuals that I have been hoping will improve as they were annoying me! Too early I know but I am longing for a proper tidy up in the garden. My  hanging baskets this year have been very disappointing not sure if it’s the weather or the plants I am planning to buy all my basket plants from the local nursery next year rather than online as I have been very unhappy with the quality of the ones I had this year. Some of them haven’t even started to flower yet and it’s nearly the end Of summer!

Morning Debs. I'm back sooner than expected as garage man drove me home (in my own car) but it saved a 2 mile walk and it means I can get some jobs done. I think the weather has a lot to answer for with plants this season Debs but it is better to be able to see the plants before you commit to buy. I 'rescued' two trays of petunias from A**i and they looked as though they had no chance but they have been absolutely brilliant. Speaking of which - job number one is to dead head those petunias.

    Morning all.

That was kind if your garage man to give you a lift home LB.

Debs, I think a lot of folk are fed up with plants that haven't done well this year.
I'm in a clearing out frame of mind.

I know it’s been an unusual season weather wise but I think I have been had for a giddy kipper, £20 for 66 plants is not a bargain if 33 of them die and 20 don’t flower at all! I have found a little local nursery that does basket plants £1 each I will be going there next year! The ones I had from them a few weeks ago reduced to 50p each are flowering their little socks off!

Morning LB Chive Deb's Joyce and all to follow.  LB how kind that he drove you home and you have your car back.  Deb's the roses I bought a few years ago for £2.99 (can't remember the name) are still in bloom and have been flowering away, bought outside a factory shop.  It's sunny this morning and feels warmer than yesterday.  Watching animal park and having a cup of tea.  I slept through last night.  The first in a long time.

Yes I bought online and thought I was getting a bargain but will know better in 2020. There are so many excellent little nurseries around here I was a fool to buy online.
PF that pub looks lovely I would always pick a pub with flowers rather than one without.
LB how kind, he obviously couldn’t resist your feminine wiles!
