Good morning.   Hope all hair cuts, car parts, medical visits proceed as expected.

We're off out to Les Sables for Possum's last visit this summer so no gardening for me today.    OH took the dogs out early and spotted a wild boar nose peeking out of the maize in the field opposite our house.  We'll have to check all our fences if they're that close but maybe they'll move away again when it's harvested.

I do like a good fruit cake @Chicky.   I use a recipe for Borrowdale fruit cake with the fruit soaked in tea before mixing and baking.   Yum, but an autumn and winter thing and definitely no icing.

Yay!  Garmin satnav successfully updated ready for our
    trip to @Hostafan1 -land.

I always get a little anxious doing the updates as one year it wiped all the old maps and just wouldn’t install the new ones 🤯😱 I had to rush out and buy a new one 😭. I could manage without one most of the time but I do like a satnav for motorway driving so I can be in the correct lane in plenty of time for exits etc.  I know I have OH with me but as a navigator the only thing I can rely on is that he’ll be asleep at a vital moment 🙄 🥰

@Fairygirl ... think it’s a fairly safe bet that the snails are being devoured by leeches 🙄 flippin wildlife eh?  It just does what it wants to 🤣

I love fruit cake too, especially those tea loaves, but no longer make it as I'm the only one who really likes it in this house, and I'm more than capable of eating the entire thing myself  :/
    Exciting wildlife @Obelixx ;)

One of our Picnic guests the other Sunday brought a tea loaf ... there was so much food it didn’t get eaten so it was wrapped and put into our freezer ... it came out yesterday 😋 😏

How come @Hostafan1? No little 'leftover' things in the freezer?

I know what you mean. I sometimes have scrambled egg and toast if the girls aren't here. If I'm away walking, all I want is a cup of tea  :)
