    Still no rain Fairy. It was so nice and sunny today that we sat outside for a couple of hours, me colouring in, until Hubby got too hot and went inside. When I decided I needed a cuppa and packed everythingbup to go quietly inside trying not to wake him, and found that he’d automatically flicked the lock when he went in. 😡. Then I had to knock and wake him?

    Hi all.
    I am always an 8 year old school boy.
    Off into the city today, to join the demonstration about the disappearance of democracy in this country. No doubt a waste of my time, but I feel I must do something.

    @punkdoc 👍 we’d have joined the Norwich one ... except it was a bit impromptu and they had it on Thursday and the news hadn’t got to us by then 🙄

    @Fairygirl I heard that interview while I was driving and almost wet myself I laughed so much 🤣

    I feel the same punkdoc. At the last General Election, both the Labour party and the Conservatives said they would implement the result of the referendum. That is called Democracy, carrying out the will of the people.   After the election a lot of elected MP's think they know better than their constituents.  Labour didn't like the result of the elction or the referendum, so want a rerun. How many times?, best out of five? If they had all joined together, Brexit could have been put to bed a long time ago. Then they could concentrate on knife crime, poor schools, the NHS falling apart, little things like that.   What is the demonstrating about, not being able to stop a process which was voted for by the people of this country, just because they don't agree with the result? If you stop the possibility of a No Deal Brexit, then of course you will get a lousy deal. The worse the deal, the more the United states of Europe hope we will stay.  They want us to stay because we are one of the six who put more in, so 27 can take out.  If they had given Cameron a deal on stopping free movement of criminals and those who don't intend on working, we would still be in. Instead they laughed at him, and look where that got us. Time to stand up to the bully boy tactics.

    Good morning.   Had my first good night's sleep for a week or so so am feeling bleary.  Always the way.  Coffe is being imbibed to fix that.

    It's amazing how fast muscle tone goes.  Doc prescribed physio to help with my knee but that was in July.  No appointments till September cos of hols.  Bought a new knee support at the sports shop yesterday and that helps.  Haven't done walkies since January but aim to try again this week.  OH is driving Possum up to Belgium at the end of the week and that leaves me with Rasta walking duties.  All being well, Bonzo will be recuperating from his op and not doing walkies yet.

    Baking a Borrowdale teabread this morning.  OH and Possum met farmer Luc in the lanes yesterday and it seems his wife has had a fall and broken her shoulder.   Ouch!   The cake will need a day or two to mature so biscuits next.  She's still trying to do the daily cooking cos Luc can't so I'll do a casserole they can eat or freeze for when none of the family is free to help.

    @Fairygirl - priceless.

    Just had my morning brightened considerably by a telephone conversation with a person called Stella from BT .... I said

    'Oh Stella, how lovely to hear from you ... I'm so pleased you called ... are you coming to see me today?'

    She said that she was indeed coming to see me today.

    I said 'That's wonderful. I've been looking forward to meeting you. I'll put the kettle on. Will you bring a cake or shall I make one?'

    She said 'I'm sorry ... what do you want?'

    I said 'I want to know whether you will be bringing a cake or whether I should make one.'

    There was a silence ... followed by 'Madam, how can I help you?'

    I said 'It would certainly help if you bring a cake with you.'

    There was another, longer silence ................ then the line went dead ....................... lollollol
