Had a very sensible morning ... bread and Spag Bol made ... new hedgehog cafĆ© sorted (my role was mainly supervisory šŸ˜‰) and I’ve checked over the car contents ... First Aid kit, fire extinguisher (out of date so new one ordered), torch battery checked ... that sort of thing. Garmin sat nav is being charged up prior to an update. Ā Feeling very organised šŸ˜‡Ā

Hubby called earlier " I'm in the plant centre at Wisley, it's huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, is there anything you want? "Ā
An hour later: " I'm in B&Q, they've got tons of bulbs, which would you like?"Ā

    question for the foody members.Ā
Today I delivered frozen raspberries to 3 customers today. Aren't fresh raspberries in season now?

    Evening.
I am a tad chilly tonight. The big duvet has gone back on!Ā
I can only think that the raspberries are for smoothies etc??Ā

Yes šŸ˜‹.... but I can understand if someone wants to use raspberries in a few days’ time ... Ā a special pud for Sunday maybe, buying good quality frozen might be a good idea. Freezing doesn't spoil raspberries at all ... I’ve got some in the freezer from autumn 2017 and once thawed you’d think I’d just gone out and picked them. Ā

Wish I had enough raspberries to freeze! The new canes 'Polka' have not done very well this year so am hoping next will be better.

The good news is that my laptop has at last been repaired (been a month) and is on its way home.

I'd love to see hedgehogs round here but never have in the 12 years we've lived here.

We’re still using up our Polka from two years ago ... and still eating raspberry jam too ... yours will do much better next year. šŸ˜‹Ā

Fresh raspberries from shops grow hairs in no time at all in my experience.Ā  Ā Even ones we pick in the garden need eating asap or they spoil.Ā  Ā If I want to use them in a cake or a coulis I prefer frozen for consistency and quality.

Off to Les Sables d'Olonne tomorrow.Ā  Possum's last visit this summer so market, lunch and SM with some strolling about in between to see what's going on.Ā  Need a raid on the fabric shop on the way home and it's opposite a plant shop so maybe a wee raid there too.Ā  Ā No bulbs in the local France Rurale yet but maybe there'll be some in this GC.

Different question for Foody types.Ā  Mirabelles.Ā  i find them very sweet and bland but we have at least 4 trees of them and Oh keeps picking them.Ā  I made crumbles and jam last year but don't like them.Ā  Any ideas for making them interesting apart, maybe, from making some spicy Chinese plum sauce?
