If only I could remind myself to think like that more often, @Fairygirl, I am sure I would be a lot better off.

Wee baby steps @punkdoc. They soon get bigger xĀ  :)

Here's a tiny starter for you. One of the buzzards was keening overhead the other day, and although he didn't stay still long enough for me to get a decent pic, I got one, but it's not great.
Typically - the other one appeared and they just 'sat' in the sky for a little while but were too far away for the camera to catch them. They always make me smile, no matter how often I see them, here or further afield.
Blue sky and a buzzard. What's not to likeĀ  :)

Great to see but even better when you get the parents teaching the youngsters about thermals!

MIL just took me up the road to the next (bigger) village where there’s one of those discount warehouse places cos she wanted some plants Ā ... I managed to steer her away from the nearly dead bedding stuff and we got a Fuchsia Mrs Popple Ā£1 and a couple of nice penstemons 99p each. She already has a Mrs Popple on one side of the front path so the new one will go opposite that one. The penstemon will go in the bed at the back of the house where she wants it toĀ look pretty but doesn’t want anything that needs looking after ... she’s a notorious plant killer šŸ˜‚ I’ve put some Rozannes there for her ... I’m going to have to show her the difference between them and the creeping buttercup šŸ˜‰Ā

i bought three Pulmonaria ā€˜Trevi Fountain’ for 99p each for behind our pond. šŸ‘Ā

One family has gone home, daughter 2. Two families still here, 6 children, daughter 1 and son 1. It rained quite heavily this afternoon so they watched a film and parents and grandmother all had a nap or a read.

Lovely when family are around BL, but it's nice when they all go home too.Ā  Had hair cut this morning ready for hols and then came back and did some deadheading and weeding.Ā  Relaxing in front of TV now with a cuppa.Ā  Hubby is cooking Turkish Kebaps for dinner.

@Hostafan1 Off to Turkey, just for a week, Hubby is going for three weeks but I didn't fancy a long holiday this year.Ā  He is staying with friends for the first two weeks and then I'm joining him for the third week and staying at a lovely luxury hotel.Ā  Daniel Craig stayed there whilst filming Skyfall.

Hope you have a lovely time YvieĀ  :)
They're just stunning birds Obelixx. Really quite common here, but always a delight to see them. He was quite plaintive, all on his own till his pal reappeared. On his own today though.
Nothing worse than a plaintive buzzard, except maybe a complacent jackdaw. Loads of them around - staring at you in a Robert de Niro 'you lookin' at me?' kind of way when you walk past.Ā Ā
Did you get the painting done Dove?
