    Hi all

Another beautiful day for sitting outside and doing nothing [ in a very constructive way ]
Not sure I can even be bothered to read.
How can you lie there and think of England

    @punkdoc - relaxing/napping  is good for you - supposedly  ;)
    Some music perhaps ?
I had to come in - far too r***y hot for me now. I can hear @Hostafan1 crying from here. I expect he'll be busy cursing all the tourists out blocking the roads though....
Got quite a bit done though, in between watching the butterflies and bees, and having a chat with froggie boy.
I hope the owners were suitably appreciative @chicky. Some people aren't, which is always depressing.
I haven't any spare rain for you today @Pat E:/
Wonder if Yvie is itchy today. I've noticed I get a bit itchy now and again which I normally don't. Perhaps I've changed as I get older.
Not sure if buzzards eat snakes/slowworms @raisingirl. Can't see why they wouldn't. Have to go and look that up now  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Not as hot as yesterday here so I'm off for a wander round when I've had my coffee.  Then I shall sit and read and try and get brown legs.  It's the biting season here so I have my daily antihistamine and some potion always handy for smoothing on.  The blighters gang up on me and ignore OH.

Just seen the Beeb weather forecast for the week ahead and looks like some of you are in for interesting weather.  Wall to wall sunshine here for the forseeable with maybe a bit of cloud on Wednesday.

No hot air balloons here so far but we had loads over the Belgian house.  Bonzo first used to hide under a desk when he heard them coming, long before we could see them, but eventually joined Rasta in running outside to tell them to keep out of our garden.  Once in a while they'd land in the field behind us - large and arable and easy access for retrieval after the wheat was harvested.

We have snakes.  Found Minstrel playing with a youngster and had to rescue it.  Pencil thick and about a foot long and very cross.   Our growing sparrow population is proving tobe very entertaining - parents teaching younsters about dust baths in the new rose garden.  I've planted about 70 pots of all sizes from 10cm verbena phoenicum up to 60cm deep and wide rose and clem pots and it's still looking very bare.   I need more roses.

Anyone heard from @Busy-Lizzie?  Did she get her flight to Norfolk OK?

@Fairygirl not much gratitude, but was a teenage boy, so to be expected.  Very much doubt the rest of the family will ever get to hear the story 🤫

@Obelixx .....70 pots planted 😱. Sounds exciting.....we need pictures as your garden progresses please 🙏🏻.  How’s the pond this year?

lots of fluffies here ☁️☁️☁️ to give the 💙 a bit of interest

@Busy-Lizzie was supposed to arrive in Norfolk on the 22nd ... haven’t heard anything since ... hopefully it’s just a broadband glitch or maybe they’re having such a good time they don’t have time to post.

    Hello all.

Sorry @Obelixx and @Dovefromabove, it was the latter!

Ryanair did fly on time, but my sister and her OH came to stay on Friday and we went to see "As You Like It" in Cambridge in the King's College Fellows Garden on Saturday evening, back late. Been to Hingham Antiques Fair and now we are just off to visit a garden near Bury Saint Edmunds.

    See you later.

That's good then.   Was worried you might have had flight problems and/or been overwhelmed by having good weather for a UK bank holiday weekend!   Enjoy.
