Hi folks, back from Secondborns and exhausted.  Forgotten how challenging nappy training can be. Had a call from moms home to say she has run out of hearing aid batteries, she has changed homes and is now in a different local authority and I have no idea where to get them from so I will be playing detective tomorrow and hopefully packing for hubby.  If I leave it to him Lord knows what he will look like.

Sorry to hear about your holiday woes @Busy-Lizzie, I'm a bit worried about Firstborn, she is due to fly back from Dominican Republic next Tuesday and BA are threatening all sorts of industrial action.

Hope your meeting with the consultant brings positive news @Pat E

That film is quoted here quite often "SQUIRREL!!".

     :D
Anyone who hasn't seen it will be wondering what the chuff we're on about!  :D

Hope the rain doesn't cause too many probs @raisingirl. It's heading north after it's visited you. Don't think many areas are escaping it.
I seem to have a couple of cyclamen too Dove. They've popped up in the last couple of days. I can't remember when they usually appear though. It's still very warm here. You can normally feel the change in the air when August arrives, becoming quite autumnal.

We moved here in July and the Cyclamen appeared not long afterwards so they are behaving as they always do ... but it always feels early  :o

@Liriodendron - part of the railway will be shut for a couple of weeks

No probs for hubby if he's going by car though  :)

Dove - I had a look at photos from last year, and the cyclamen were a couple of weeks later. Mine are in pots, but I might try and find a suitable spot for them in the ground.

I have cyclamen in pots in flower, waiting to go into beds when we get more reliable rain.   Those in the ground are lying low.

    Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory

......ok, so showing my age, but given what is happening outside atm, it seems appropriate 😀🌧

No need to water my pots tomorrow 👍🏻

Morning all. We had very heavy rain last night and at 4am we were woken by extremely loud thunder - it was very startling! It even set off some car alarms! I don’t do well with a disturbed night, so struggled to resist the snooze alarm this morning!
    Have a fab Friday all.

    Here you are @AuntyRach ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

We’ve just had a heavy shower but the sky is brightening now ...someone nearby seems to be using a chainsaw ...
