It's also a future where the governments let companies abstract huge amounts of water. Orangeries, almond groves, swimming pools, golf courses, market forces of privatised water. There is little snow melt left there and no mutual co-operation between countries, states or govts.

People need to give a thought to water before there is a water shortage. Take an interest in your local water courses, aquifers, river health and reservoirs outside the times of hose pipe bans.
It's not too bad, as there is super low humidity.. sweat evaporates nearly as quickly as it's formed. I spent all day yesterday in the shade of our uncooled garage working on a DIY project, with the garage door and back door open to get a breeze moving through.. then last night I went mountain biking when it dropped off to about 99F (37C). You can't stand around in the direct sun for long though, that is when you really notice the heat.
It's certainly the hottest I've ever seen it in June. We are also in terrible drought, with high risk of fires due to the multi-years of drought. I've stopped watering most of my grass (just watering one shaded part twice a week for my kids to play on) to focus on watering trees and perennials. It's going to be a difficult summer for flora and fauna.
Those maps are really interesting. My area is one of the ones with no increase or even a slight drop in rainfall. We started out pretty wet though so it would have been hard to get much wetter.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
