    Afternoon all.
Lovely day here, not to hot to work in which is a nice change!
Housekeeping today and I was cleaning the insects from the huge...as in the size of a village hall....conservatory, saw a bee needed rescuing, put my hand out for him to hop on and he stung me!! He seemed to still be ok even if I wasn't, so I put him outside whilst telling him he was ungrateful!
Hello to Lilyp, I hope your being well looked after and are feeling more yourself each day x
Hello to Pat and Mr Pat, take good care of each other and best wishes x
Big hugs to Hosta and lovely OH x
Happy belated birthday papa Chicky, hope you enjoyed your walk x
Have a lovely week with lovely OH Dove x
Lirio, your namesake tree looks splendid!! 😀
Pdoc, totally agree on Glastonbury, really enjoyed the coverage this year and all so positive!!

Hello Raisingirl, not working too hard, actually worked hardest in my own garden yesterday, it made a nice change! Even weeded the path!! 😱
Sat by the pond now with a cuppa about to stick a chicken in the oven and prepare a wedding check list.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening 😊

Have made it to Namur in one piece tho hot and tired by the end.  Nightmare traffic round Valenciennes cos of roadworks which i thought were finished at Easter but they've found a new project to do.  Found a way round it but when I go back I need a route to avoid that and Mons which has been at it for 2 years now and no sign of it ending.

@Liriodendron your tree looks wonderful.  I potted my baby on last week.  All of 3' high now.  One day it will be amazing.

Hope your plumber is a magician @Dovefromabove and/or a contortionist.

@Fairygirl It is cool here.  Only 18C when I arrived at 8:30.  25C at bedtime at home last night.  I plan on sleeping well.

    Sweet dreams all.

Hello. We are back in French home. Driven from Dieppe, ferry docked at 3pm, took 35 mins to get through passport check.
Horribly hot, bedroom is 28°, ditto kitchen. Kitchen has been up to 34°. House Sitter said it's been up to 40°. Plants on kitchen terrace have shot up, he kept them all watered.

Sad thing though, think I mentioned that I hadn't seen Alexa cat the week before we went, HS hasn't seen her either, hasn't eaten her food. She's a feral cat and I've had her for 14 years.

Just had baked beans on toast, English bread, English cup of tea. Though I always have English tea, just 3 times the price here.

How will I sleep tonight? B-

My parents are in a graveyard in East Sussex. I planted fuschias on it. One is called Lena, the name of my beautiful Lusitano mare that my father gave me, who is now elderly and living at my daughter's.

Glad you’re home safe and sound @Busy-Lizzie ... worrying that Alexa ‘s not been around tho ...

Plumber will come on Tuesday when we are back from StepWomble’s wedding ... he thinks he knows a way to fix it without being a contortionist 😊

snuggling down for Book at Bedtime ... night night all ... sweet dreams 😴

    Good morning all  :) ☕️
Overcast but mild here ... we might go out for the day today ... we have rain forecast for the rest of the week so it looks as if today’s the day ...

    Morning all.

Opened all the windows, will shut them and the shutters when temp outside is above temp inside. 28° forecast today so not nearly as hot here as it was when we were in Norfolk, up to 40°.

I've just had a look round the flower garden jaw-drop-smiley-emoticon Weeds up to my waist, sow thistles, willowherb, loads of deadheading and cutting back, grapevine hanging down over the living room door onto the terrace and smothering the Diana clematis. Plants also drooping for need of water (not the weeds, they are quite happy!) We've only been away 3 weeks, shows what a lot of gardening I usually do without realising.
