A strong coffee or three and some concealer under the eyes and you'll be fine. As long as you are not the one in the long white dress ( or other fancy attire) , all eyes will be on the bride anyway. I was up at  3am the day I got married. We were in the bridal suite and they were installing a new bar ready for the wedding. Bang, bang, bang.  I got up, did the flowers, had words with the manager (holding a pair of secateurs in my hand at the time), got married, and kept going until about 11 pm, when I fell asleep in the bar.

Morning all/afties Pat if you're looking in.
Long day Hosta. Take it easy today and enjoy your time with the girls.
Hope today goes well Wonks. You'll be fine. Your mother can prop you up if you start to flag, unless she's lying under a table somewhere legless, or dancing on top of one. I've heard the stories.... :D;)
Busy day Obelixx. I was tired just reading that.
Tennis was great yesterday. Probably won't watch it today, and I'll miss it tomorrow. Can the Fed do it?
Warm here already so I'll get out for a walk before it's unbearable.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hahaha thank you Fidget and Fairy! 2 coffees in now, showered and dressed and a breakfast should help and the wedding doesn't start until 3pm, we will leave at 1.30 so a nice casual get ready time. Fairy, it wasn't me that told you Doves stories but your spot on! 😉😂

    Hello all!

Just waiting for our guests to arrive - friends of hubby's, from his time in Russia.  They're a family from Ekaterinburg.  Might take them to the park... not really fair to expect the 2 boys (7 & 5, supposedly bilingual) to converse all day in English...

Hope the wedding is wonderful, @WonkyWomble and @Dovefromabove.   :)

I enjoyed the Curry Evening last night. There is a gorgeous view of hills, fields and woods from my friend's terrace.

We cut a couple of huge branches of a prunus tree this morning. Should have done it ages ago, they were hitting OH when he mowed and the tree has got too big. Used the long handled battery chainsaw but the battery is old and started running out. OH bought new batteries online and had them sent to the Norfolk Cottage as they wouldn't send to France. Then he forgot to put them in the car.

I've been weeding the oval bed, too hot now to finish. Full of a big persicaria with frothy white flowers that has spread all over the bed. Pain in the neck, it was a present from a French gardener. I know now why he didn't want it, he said it was "magnifique". Beth Chatto has it and Christpher Lloyd asked her if it was a problem and she said it wasn't (in one of their books), forgotten its name.

Sad day here. I had to have my old tripawd dog put to sleep. The cancer finally overwhelmed him. He was a good dog and I am heartbroken.
