Well, I'm glad our trip home wasn't as bad as yours @Dovefromabove.
We made such good time, I managed to stop and buy some plants en route. We got to our appointment an hour early and now we're home.
The garden looks fine, although I've not checked too thoroughly.

Glad you had a straightforward drive home @Hostafan1 .... I’ve had a quick read back ... your weekend sounds just the ticket 😊

    Evening.
What a kurfuffle Dove! The ‘inconvenience’ of a breakdown is no picnic when a ‘convenience’ is needed! My bladder is the size of a walnut!
Pleased that you have contact with The Sepsis Trust Lily - keep positive as the road to recovery is just that - a route to healing and improving.
    Hope you all doing ok.

Been on the road all day and am cream-crackered.  Left Namur at 9:05 and took the scenic route before joining the motorway at Cambrai so we could avoid roadworks at Mons and Valenciennes which are currently enjoying queues at about 5kph or standstill which add 2 hours to te journey.   Took us 3 hours instead of 2 but we gained an hour by not having jams.

Letf at 16C and grey skies and arrived at 32C and blue skies and a hosepipe ban cos of the lack of rain.    My new lavenders and agapanthus should enjoy it.

Your journey home sounds horrendous Dove.   I hope the fix is a good 'un.  Wedding sounds good tho.

@Lily Pilly - rest and patience for you and laissez-faire in the garden!   Better to take the time to recover fully and then you can enjoy years of happy gardening.

@Liriodendron - sounds like your guests had a fun-packed day.   Well done.

@Busy-Lizzie - our loft has been done and it cost 1€.    Now waiting for quality control visit to check the company concerned has done it right before they get their fees from the govt.

@AuntyRach - have started watching the space thing but am not finding it rivetting so I may just head for bed with my Kindle and a decaf.     Very tired.

Evening folks. Pooter keeps cutting out so if I suddenly disappear, you'll know why  ;)
What are you like, Dove? At least all was well - eventually. Not great when it happens twice though. At least the wedding went well.  :)
I'm like Lyn - I'd rather pee behind a rock than go in a public loo  :D
I've skimmed back, but too much for me to remember. Try and stay positive LP.
Been lovely the last few days, so I got the shed re roofed, in between tennis watching.  Great match yesterday, and what about the cricket too. Brilliant.  :)
Up a hill today to make the most of the weather before it breaks. Grand views again, with some 'cloud shadows' on the hills, and some nice wildlife too

Exhausted reading about @Dovefromabove ‘s journey home 😱. Glad yours was easier @Hostafan1 (and included plant purchases 🥳).  And that Obxx has made it back to the sunshine too 😎

    Great cloud shadows @Fairygirl ⛅️🏔

Take it easy @Lily Pilly ......much better to recover properly.  The good thing about gardens is there’s always next year 😜

We’re off to Nottingham today, so that we are in the right place for Chicklet’s graduation ceremony early on Wednesday morning.  A proud moment for us all 👩🏼‍🎓 🎓.  Hard to believe that when I first started posting here she was swotting (and stressing) for her GCSE’s .....and now she’s a graduate ......where did those years go 😲

    Morning all.
Been up for almost 4 hours. Tomatoes tied up and armpits shaven.
Looking for spaces for new plants, no ideas yet TBH.
@chicky, you're right. I've just been to my No1 daugher's 30th birthday weekend, Where DOES that time go?
    Devon.
