Good morning all š āļøĀ woken about 5 by a green woodpecker yaffling from our front garden (lots of ants out there) and now thereās a buzzard mewing overhead. Youād never guess weāre right on the edge of a city. š
Ive been wandering round the back garden barefoot (wearing the purple dressing gown) watching blackbirds tug reluctant worms from the lawn and enjoying the beauty of the little Clematis flowers in the rising sunlight.Ā Now im back in bed with a coffee, listening to the goldfinches in the shrubs beneath the bedroom window. šĀ

Morning all.Ā Got the most stinking cold . Hubby angry because I'm going to work. Hey ho.Ā Hosta hugs to you both @Pat E Congrats to the @chicky family. We have rain!!!
Morning all/afties PatĀ Beautiful pic chicky - fantastic for you all, and a great reward for chicklet's hard work Hosta - I wont make the old joke about rubbing Vic[k] on your chest...oops, too late, I didĀ Wee bit brighter here this morning. The murky drizzle yesterday became heavy rain by evening and everything has had a very good soaking. I shall take a look inside the shed later to see if the new roof is doing a good job. What are the goldies finding to eat under there, Dove? Something tasty no doubtĀ I seem to have a little pair who visit regularly, although we get larger numbers together too. This pair seem to be very much 'an item' though. I had a couple of buzzards overhead the other day. Heard a bit of noise and looked up to see one wheeling off with something quite large in his claws, much to the distress of a magpie or similar. Tasty meal for the buzzards that day.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Hostafan1 looks like youāre a trend setter ... OH tells me he has a bad cold𤧠but heās still well enough to mow the lawn (I wonāt say ācut the grassā as it will mostly be ādeadheading the Hawkweedā š).Ā
@Fairygirl š thereās a sunflower heart feeder between the Clem Freckles and the Vib Bodnantense ... the Goldies that nest in the big conifer opposite use it all the time šĀ

AhĀ - my feeders are across the other side from the window.Ā Love watching them. The sparrows are in big numbers too, and there seems to be loads of them everywhere round here, which is nice as they're apparently on the decline is many places. I saw a little group of at least 20 on a shed roof the other day when I was out for a walk. Made me smileĀ
