Hope the new curry house was up to scratch @AuntyRach ......everyone needs a good local curry establishment 😋

Had a great day at Kew yesterday 😀. A few torrential showers that we dodged by judicious inspection of the glass houses ......which are a wonder in themselves.  Many interesting plants (the climbing dandelion was a favourite), good cake and great company.

Time to do it all again at Wisley today 🌳🌸🌾🌿🌼🌲☔️🌈🌤

Good morning @chicky smile 😊 and the rest of you as you arrive 😊 ☕️
Have a lovely trip to Wisley.

Rain in overnight but that’s stopped for a while and we currently have sunshine ... however storms are forecast for later on this morning ⛈
It may not be a gardening day ...

The rain seems to have stopped here too. TBH, we could have done with another day of it. Hey ho, mustn't grumble.
I might venture out today as my hideous cold seems to have abated.

Good morning @Hostafan1 😊 glad you’re feeling better. OH seems fully recovered too 👍

My miscanthus has turned up it’s toes ... think it’s really too dry for it here ... I have that bed a fair bit of water last year and everything else survived but it didn’t look happy and this year it’s only put up a few green blades and given up, despite me giving it several heavy soakings. It’ll have to come out ... a new planting opportunity ... 😃

    Morning all, afternoon Pat,
Been catching up with work since getting back from the wedding duo been awol. Just had a skim back and a major congratulations to proud Chicky and Chicklet on her recognized genius! 😀
Big hugs and best wishes to you Lilyp, sit back and watch your garden this year. I tell myself that things grew before people were around interfering so it will continue to do so 😊 I now don't dig, I drop clippings as I cut them in the bed and let the worms drag them down. I never feed my boarders only my food crops. Everything thrives and I have every imaginable type of wildlife! I counted 7 of the right ladybirds on one foxglove yesterday....because it was covered in aphids 😀 I had to learn to rest my hands so I could work in other people's gardens in the week but I don't think I'd garden any other way now I see the results 😊
Also a years rest means you can sit with a sketch pad and plan what you would like to do when your able 😀

Pottering day today, so much rain last night!!!
Hope your cold is on the way out Hosta!
Dove, I'm yet to get more than a grunt from lovely OH so we will discuss wool for mil jumper when he's sunk some coffee! 😉
Have s lovely day all 😊

Morning all/afties Pat if you're about.
Glad you had a good day despite he showers chicky.Enjoy today as well  :)
Damp here after all the rain, especially the stuff through the night which woke me. We seem to have yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms and rain for the next 3 days, so I'm not sure how much outdoor activity there'll be.
That's a pity about the miscanthus Dove. I grow Spartina, which will cope with wet ground but also bone dry, as it's a coastal grass. Perhaps worth looking at as an alternative?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hi everyone. Just flopped after a nice meal of roast Turkey wings and vegs. Hubby even had some!

    Morning all.
Busy week so still in PJs here. Going to inspect the pros and cons in the garden after the heavy rain we had yesterday soon. I can see the Lavender was upset by the rain, as it has flopped down and looks a bit bedraggled. I hope the slugs haven’t been too busy too.
    Have a smashing weekend all.

It is cool and grey here and the air is wet tho nowhere near proper rain.  My herb bed is going crispy - one sage gone, rosemary and another sage going curly and the thymes looking sad.   They need a good drenching.  So much for being sun lovers needing good drainage.

@AuntyRach - hope the curry was good.  I am the only curry house here and Chines, Thai, Vietnames, Italian.......  When Possum came in June she suggested a takeaway pizza.  Had to tell her they only happen in July and August when the toursists are here in force.
