Hello all. I've been busy in the garden, really it's too hot, have had to stop. Going to a charity curry evening tonight. I'll be hot inside and out!

Have a lovely time Dove and Wonky.

Sounds as though you had a lovely time Obelixx.

Don't worry about the garden Hosta. Mine was left for 3 weeks and we had a week of 39°, seems OK now, been watering a lot since we got back.

I couldn't manage curry when it's hot BL, and I don't expect it's as  hot here as it is with you. It's got to 21 here and that's too hot for me  :D
I've just realised how low maintenance my garden is since I stopped working. I've got very  little to do out there apart from grass/hedge cutting and some bits and pieces. It largely does it's own thing once plants are pruned/tied in etc. There's a couple of little projects I want to do at some point though.

    doc - I hope you're not telling porkies re S.McQueen  ;)

We’ve arrived ... the Wonkies arrived first as it would’ve been quicker for us to walk the length of the A11 (M) than drive ... we were hardly out of first gear for nearly an hour!  Apparently there was a hold up on another A road which was blocking a roundabout ... or somesuch.  Anyway the Wonkies are now at the wedding venue dealing with last minute stuff and OH are chilling in our hotel room. I shall try the tv in a min .... how did Rafa and Federer get on? Or haven’t they finished yet ? 😉

    No idea @Dovefromabove.

Have just got in from a very long day, utterly shattered.  Love Maastricht but the road improvements they've been doing for years are finally finished and our Satnav doesn't recognise any of it so, following my usual plan, I ended up on the north side and heading for Eindhoven after diving inadvertently down a new and very long tunnel which, I assume, takes lorries past all the doings in one swoop.

The fabric market proved to be as good as ever.   Found lots of good quality cotton for the patchwork club's freebies this year and also some for frocks and trousers for Possum and even some to make curtains for our new shower room.

There was a chappy selling 5 lavender in 12cm pots for 5€ so I got 15 of those and a pale blue agapanthus for 7€50.

Had Chinese for lunch and then a raid on the Asian supermarket before going back to Namur via IKEA in Liège.  It has the right size pillows and cases - and an impressive storm as we were paying for them.

Finally a raid here for OZ and NZ wines and then flopalot after putting all the plants in the bath for a soak so they can cope with the journey home on Monday.  We've decided not to go to Bruges tomorrow as the weather will be dodgy so we'll sort out stuff here in the apartment ready for the problematical flatmate to move out with no bovver...........

Hope all goes well with the wedding @WonkyWomble.   Enjoy your curry @Busy-Lizzie.  Dream on @punkdoc.   Never fancied Steve McQueen @Fairygirl but did enjoy his films.

    Morning all.
Well, yesterday was a bit of a nightmare. Systems down at the hospital so we were there from 8 until 1pm . M5 / M4 were at a standstill in places . At one point the Sat Nav said " you appear to have moved to pedestrian mode" We got to my sisters at 6pm. After getting up at 4.12am, it was a long day.
Off into London later to see my Gorgeous Girls.

    Devon.
