I've just had a message from my neice to say she's going to be a Granny, which means I'm going to be a Great Great Uncle. I'm not old enough for that.

Is anyone old enough for that?  :o

Thanks for the kind wishes, everyone. We've buried him at the top of the orchard in a spot with a lovely view across the roof of the house and on down the valley to Exmoor. At the moment it's just grass and nettles and one reasonably large apple tree with bad canker in that corner, so I'm planning a little bit of garden to make there in the autumn.

Glad the weddings and family visits and assorted trips have all gone well.

Raisingirlthat sounds like a lovely spot. I'm say by my departed friends resting place now as I often am. I a quite pay of the garden marked by a mound of large bolders with scented pants dotted around. Sorrow the cat, a fellow tripod, is always with me in the garden now, and your tripod friend will be in your garden with you. Best wishes xx

Evening all. Sounds like the wedding went well Wonky and Dove. Hope everyone else had a good weekend too. Tennis was awesome! I understand cricket was too.

We’re home after a bit of an adventure ... broke down twice ... once each end of Dartford Tunnel ... a  wait on the hard shoulder was involved 😱 eventually two knights in armour from Green Flag rescued us and diagnosed and fixed properly the fault the first chap had mis-diagnosed.

We are home and have food and coffee and are on the sofa watching Poldark then I will go to bed... I’ll tell you more tomorrow 😉

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. 😊

Well it has been a seriously tough day, almost got pressure sores from lying on the sofa for so long.
It was a hard job, but someone had to do it and it was soooooo worth it.

Ooops @Dovefromabove ...glad you’re home now.  Glad you and @WonkyWomble had such a lovely day yesterday.

Today has mostly been about cricket and tennis 🎾 🏏 .... feel totally exhausted, and I was just watching .....sooo pleased for our cricketing boys .....today our time had come 😇

Glad you are safely back, Dove, not a good place to break down.

    Enjoyed Poldark.

    Morning all.
No sport viewing for us, strange as that may seem.
Spent the afternoon at my Nephew's house but gave up almost as soon as we got back Big Sis's house. In bed asleep before Poldark even started.
Up and showered and first cup of tea before cooked breaky then hit road. Need to be in Exeter by 2pm so can't hang about.
Not looking forward to the M25 at this time of day.

Good luck with the motorway beast 🛣 @Hostafan1.  Lots of schools are out on holiday now, so hopefully traffic will be a bit lighter in rush hour.

Only today at work this week, as we have Chicklet’s graduation ceremony to go to midweek👩🏼‍🎓 ......followed by Forum outings 🥳🍰☕️

Morning. Just about to grab second cuppa and sit outside to see if the Woodpecker is about. Found a dead hatchling bird on patio yesterday - think it was a wood pigeon, as quite large but only had the yellow down fluff.
    Have a good day all.
