Hi Chicky. Is she enjoying it? Makes a nice change from studying all the time I suppose.
Not sure about enjoying it, but it brings in some cash.  She is trying to build up a fund that will allow her to go travelling during her holidays when she is in Australia 🇦🇺

Morning Dove and Hosta. Good idea Chicky. I recall that my eldest daughter worked every Sunday at Woolworths for a year before her first trip to UK. She saved all her wages to do it as well as getting kitchen hand jobs in hostels while over there. 😃

Good morning.   Bright and sunny again but with a strong breeze so not too hot for us but I suspect very drying for plants.   Managed to get a couple more roses and some perennials planted out yesterday and re-potted 2 other roses to get strong before they hit the new border.    Had to rescue a hydrangea paniculata from a dry border on Tuesday and it is now looking better for a fresh compost, shade and plenty of water.

Trip to Namur postponed at least one day so admin this morning and then more potting on and pot shuffling to OH proof my treasures for when I do go.

Great photo Pat.  Mr Pat looks to be on good form despite everything.

Good for Chicklet2 Chicky.   Not easy to find student jobs but Goodwood sounds like fun.

New bed looking good Hosta.   Well done.

Now my brain has gone blank so Hi to everyone and have a lovely day.

Whatever lurgy hit me yesterday had been seen off by rest and tlc so we’re off to the coast today then swinging round by Wonky’s later to deliver Aran jumper and collect tree peony thumbs up. Will keep our distance just in case we’re harbouring bugs as a virus is the last thing her Lovely Hub needs with his daughter getting married in ten days time 🥂

    Right we’re off 🚘 🏖 😎 🍦
Anyone else want to contribute to the murdered dahlia thread ... I’ve done my best ... don’t want to destroy optimism but there comes a time when reality has to be faced ... 🙄

Been biting my tongue since the first post but finally succumbed @Dovefromabove.

Admin nearly all done and I'm getting peckish but have to wait for lunch as OH is out taking Sally for her service.   Assume you're having lunch out.  Enjoy.

I had a look at that thread, but didn't think I could contribute without sounding rude  :/
Bit late on parade today - birthday cake making earlier. Oldest is a quarter of a century today. She might not appreciate being told that!
OH is looking good Pat. Hope he's not overdoing it though. Good to keep busy though.
Fish and chips for tea then, Dove?
Cloudy and windy again here, although we did have some sun yesterday and Tuesday, which was very nice. Not cold though, ot what I would call cold  ;)

A lovely day here. Just did a quick SM run - only had a basket so the person with a massive trolley-full allowed me to nip in front. Funny the un-written SM ‘highway code’.
A pretty Coreopsis found it’s way home too.

When I do that here people think I'm being charmingly British!

Trip to Belgium delayed at least a day so have had a lovely mucky afternoon in the garden surrounding my newly plated Munstead Wood rose with home grown verbascum phoenicum.  Have also planted out a  couple of penstemons, some phlox and cornflowers and potted on other stuff.   Wrong time of year but cuttings taken of MW and put in a pot in the shade.

All pots watered and dead-headed.  Marathon!

Now to get scrubbed clean in case I'm driving up tomorrow and then cook dinner.

Lovely warm weather here.  @Fairygirl - your daytime temps are our night time temps.
