Hi Dove. Just bringing some washing in (as far as the tumble dryer). Not a good drying day on the line. I’m very tired the last couple of days, so have been slacking off. Must read back to see what you’ve all been up to.

    Hope allare ok. 😃

Morning all/afties Pat. Perfectly acceptable for you to be slacking off. How are you both today?
Don't envy those hot overnight temps, chicky. Down to 8 here again last night. Hope Mr C had a very large ice cream  ;)
My cameras batteries ran out at the summit yesterday, but I managed to catch one on the way down of one of the huge dragonflies bobbing around. She was right by my feet for a while, dipping her tail in the water, enjoying the bit of sun and the silence

Good morning.  Hot and sunny again and, of course, I've slept badly and slept in so will be late for the trek north.   Checking bird food supplies and new plantings first tho.

Are these guided walks Chicky or does Mr C have a book?

Right, gotta go.  Have a great day everyone.

Morning. Thick grey mist here. I guess it may burn off later. It's very still.

My parents' ashes are both scattered nearby, at a place I like to walk my dogs so I can say hello. It's always a lovely spot for a day out. Good pub too, where Mum was a barmaid just after the war  :)

Busy week of work for me. OH has already left this morning for site. I'm now waiting for a vid conf meeting to start.

Hope you get your Mojo back, Pat. Enjoy having OH to home, Dove. Don't overdo it with the sunbathing, Hosta. Hope you're feeling a bit more normal LilyP. Don't work too hard, Wonky. Hello Punkdoc. Generally hope you're all doing OK and I'll catch you at the weekend if I don't see you before  B)

Boiler engineer arrived at 10 on the dot ... it's not a boiler problem, it's a leak in the shower that's causing the boiler to keep pre-heating.  I'd not noticed the shower was leaking 'cos it doesn't do it when the thingummy is switched over to the bath taps rather than the shower ... flippin' 'eck, it's going to be a nuisance 'cos the taps are those ones set in the corner of the bath against the back wall ... the plumber will have to be a contortionst ... I've left a message on his phone ..............

On a brighter note, the minestrone is made ... it just has to be reheated and the peas, broad beans (skinned) and basil leaves added and we'll have it for lunch.  It smells wonderful.

I've also done the watering  so just a bit of light wafting of a duster while OH cycles into the city and back to get some paint and then it'll be lunch time and Wimbledon B)

That's a pain, Dove. Why are plumbing repairs never straighforward?  :/
Could you see your way to wafting a duster round here too?
Went for a short walk to loosen up the legs. Thighs are feeling the effects a bit today  :D
There's some very ominous looking clouds coming in. Might get the back grass cut soon, just in case....

    Hi all.  :)

Dry here, been picking strawbs (the little ones, rejected by the squirrels) and rasps.  Rain is forecast for tomorrow, but I think watering will still need doing this evening - we haven't had significant rain for quite a while...

Lovely dragonfly, Fairy.  Nice to share the silence with wildlife; while working in the park last Thursday I enjoyed a close encounter with a devil's coach horse beetle pretending to be a scorpion.

Forgot to post this picture - last summer's sun has had a dramatic effect on the Liriodendron in the park.  It's covered in flower buds, for the first time in 13 years.   :)
