Thankfully cooler here today after the thunderstorm yesterday afternoon, and rain last night.
I grew larkspur in a previous garden chicky, and it always had lots of bees. Very odd that there was none. Lovely pix. I couldn't have stayed out in that heat for long! :)

Good morning everyone.  We were out at the dinner dance to end our year last night.  Temps dropped to a welcome 23C as we left which was a relief so a good time was had by all tho we left early as my knee was sore and OH had an early start for golf today.
Came home to 3 ecstatic dogs so I had to stay up a while and play till they calmed down.

Gorgeous photos Chicky.   Maybe the larkspur have had the nectar bred out of them?

Grey and cool here which is just as well as I have sheets to change and cleaning to do and some planting too if I can dig the big holes I need for a couple more roses.  Then I can get some companion perennials in too.

Very hot yesterday but so much cooler now. Had little niece staying over so I’m shattered now! My plants have been thoroughly watered by a 5 year old and a hose pipe this morning... we only got slightly soaked!
    Have a relaxing Sunday all.

@AuntyRach  😊 Hosepipes can take on a life of their own ... yesterday I was watering on the terrace and the hose got tangled around a pot and then around a chair ... in untangling it I pointed the business end at where the big sliding glass studio wall usually is .... 😱 💦 ... OH had opened it wide ... I narrowly avoided watering a finished painting of his and a work in progress of mine .... phew! 😅  There was quite a puddle on the floor ... but that dried up quite quickly ...

Evening all. You all busy/quiet again today.
I realised that I mainly ate the leftovers from a five year old’s meal choices yesterday and was too hot and tired to make anything else...so tonight is chippy night.

Wimbledon tomorrow, for those who like 🎾. Anyone got tickets this year?

    @AuntyRach ... I’ve just realised that Wonky’s stepwomble’s wedding is Finals weekend 🙄 😉

    Ah! How awkward @Dovefromabove 😬
Who will you ask to move dates - the bride and groom, or Wimbledon?? 😂

Bl**dy inconsiderate if you ask me..... :D
My oldest daughter had the cheek to 'start arriving' on the day of the women's final. She took that long to appear the men's final was done and gone as well  :D

Been a good bit more pleasant here today, even with the rain. There's been a 'richt guid breeze' as well all day, so it's been more like the right temps for me. I find it hard to eat proper food when it's hot too, AuntyR, although I draw a line at 5yr old's leftovers  :D

Better than how I read it, though, @Fairygirl - was slightly surprised anyone was eating 5-year-old leftovers...   :o

Hello all.   :)  It's now cooled down enough for me to contemplate posting on the forum... I don't cope well with 29C, which is what we had yesterday.  It's now 16, much more my cup of tea...

😂 @WonkyWomble herself was on her way during the 1976 Grand National ... but then slowed down and didn’t arrive until the Sunday morning ... but she followed that up by marrying her Lovely Hub on Super Saturday right in the middle of the 2012 Olympics ... I missed all those gold medals 😭

    🤣
