Greetings all.   It's turning overcast here but still very hot and with a strong, cooling breeze.   Rasta doggy haircut this morning so she'll feel more comfy.   She comes back wearing perfume so Rusty lodger thought she was a new dog and got shouted at for sniffing her bits.   Bonzo doggy just gets his nails cut.

Hope your knees calm down @Fairygirl.  Sympathies.    Love a good market @Dovefromabove, much to the despair of the rellies when they come.  One SIL just doesn't like shopping and t'other prefers upmarket SMs.  No idea, either of them, about regional and local and fresh.

Enjoy the music @Punkdoc.   Your garden will stand up again, or maybe be a bit wavy but it'll be fine.  How was the tree surgeon?   Doom and gloom or not too bad?

@fidgetbones Do you use your two garden as separate entities then or one merging paradise?

Clear skies are good @Pat E but they do make it cold.   Still, your days should be getting slowly longer and spring will be on its way.

Must go and check how everything is doing in this heat and then have some lunch.

Obelixx, both gardens are long and had been divided, the top half is now virtually an allotment, with greenhouse a polytunnel, veg patch and fruit trees.
Most of the bottom half of next door is under the shade of the oak, so i have a hanging tent thingy (cacoon), and one long herbaceous border , and one wildish  flower meadowish border.  We made a couple of holes in the hedge to walk through, so it is like separate rooms, and will be easy enough to put back to separate gardens when we move.

I expect that breeze is very welcome Obelixx. I went out for a short walk and there was quite a nice breeze which helped. I would have gone to a hill today, but I'm meeting a friend later, and knowing my luck I'd get caught in the traffic or summat on the way back and be late. I just missed an accident yesterday on the A82 which closed the road.

You're having a bit of a blip, doc, that's all. The garden will recover, and you will too. Enjoy Glasto, BC's garden, and do bits in your plot when you can.  :)
An oak tree with a hammock or similar sounds lovely, fidget. I like the idea of one, but not sure I'd actually spend time in it.  :D
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hope you get it sorted, Nanny Beach, but best not to get into a row with neighbours, can make your life hell.

I've posted photos of the Royal Norfolk Show. https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1030285/the-royal-norfolk-show-photos/p1?new=1

Hey everyone. I notice that the breeze has dropped away now, so it will be a muggy night. Sleep well all - despite any discomforts with weather, ailments or worries.
