Beautiful photo Pat. Love clouds like that in slanting sun.
Dull and grey here but not wet. We were supposed to have a storm overnight. The radar shows rain ging by to the north and south of us. Oh well.
Patchwork group EGM this pm. Revolution in the air as the ladies of the current committee have proved utterly inadequate (hard for a group of 35 but they've put personality before common sense) and have now resigned en masse. Good game.
I hope all poorly and injured people are getting better. Hugs if you need them.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all/afties Pat. Great pic. Don't think any pix taken here would be as nice, unless you like grey and rain Wild windy night too, which woke me a few times. Not sure the sweet peas are very happy. Hey ho. Only had a quick squint back, but enjoying the other photos from LG and LP. That wee owl looks very lost, but utterly delightful too. You should definitely put that on the wildlife thread, LP. Glad you had a good day LG - If it was hot, you can be forgiven for not wearing full tartan regalia. Hope hubby's a bit better today, BL. No fun when it's something like tendons. Very frustrating too. I can send you rain, Obs. We have plenty to share.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yes please FG! A good, long, steady downpour will make weeding the beds so much easier. Otherwise I'll have to put the sprinkler on them when OH isn't looking.

I will be hosting the annual Strawberry Tea on Wednesday, for the Church and a children's charity. About 45 booked to come. The weather forecast has been very variable, last week it said warm and sunny, then thunderstorms, yesterday it said heavy rain for Wednesday, now it says rain in the morning and occasional showers in the afternoon. A few people have asked if it's still on. It's a day the helpers can all manage, it's rained in the past and I can just about squeeze them all indoors.
I'll be cleaning chairs and tables, the dining room and the living room today and doing the shopping for the Tea tomorrow. We do sandwiches, scones with strawberry jam and whipped cream (no clotted here), cake and strawberries and cream, cups of tea and a glass of bubbly. Hope people turn up if it's raining, it's a lot of work. I had a break last year and I had emails from people to say they missed it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
BL - I find Crème Fraîche d'Isigny Ste Mère a very good substitute for cloted cream. Comes in 50cl pots and just needs sponing. No whipping. Dark blue pot with a cream picture showing a couple of cows.
First batch of seriously chocolatey hazelnut biscuits in the oven for his pm. The chocolate is to chase the dementors.

Gosh, those dementors sound quite scary, Obxx. Is the aim of the EGM to persuade them back, to replace them, or just to mop up the mess?
On my way home having been to an 'unveiling' (ooer), followed by having lunch with the artist (for @Dovefromabove - it was Andrew Logan). It's gone all cloudy, I don't think we're due much rain but live in hope.
I hope it *doesn't* rain on your Strawberry Tea, BL.
Still sleepy. Honestly, one proper late night out and I'm wrecked for days. It's pathetic!
