Morning all/afties Pat. Glad you had a good walk, chicky. Sore feet will soon be forgotten Great pic too. Doc's words accompany that so well. There's a little patch of poppies which have appeared near the motorway not far from here. It's lovely to see them. I've put washing on if anyone wants to hang theirs out here. I'm not saying it'll be dry all day [after yesterday's unfounded optimism] but it's windy and bright.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Busy day today. OH's car that lives here in Norfolk needs washing, then gardening. I did quite a bit of pruning and hedge cutting in the last couple of days and the brown bin is full. Doesn't even include the mowings, they are in a heap. More pruning to do and weeding. The brown bin isn't nearly big enough. I hope the weeds are suitable for the compost heap.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning. Nor rain here and none expected till Tuesday and I expect that'll go away. Too buy to garden unfortunately. This pm we have a spaniel coming for his hols while his people go to the UK to visit assroted rellies here and there. Better playing here than cooped up in his cage for interminable car journeys. Tomorrow I have 7 ladies coming to do cartonnage since the ex-pres said it was illegal in our patch club.
We now know she was lying about that and many other things. Our new treasurer has found holes all over the place and there is stock missing too. Bizarre behaviour but we had the first session "under new management" yesterday and it was really good fun. Onwards and upwards.
Then there's the exhibition for the machine patch to prepare and man from Thursday to Sunday and old golfing friends of OH's passing thru to.
Flanders' fields are a bit more regimented now @Punkdoc. An impressive and sobering site. This is Tynekot where they listed the names of the missing that they couldn't fit on the Menin Gate on another stone wall and where are lot of them are buried including men from all corners of Britain and the empire and those "Known unto God". And that's just part of it.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Government’s too busy untangling the knitting that it dropped when Cameron thought he knew how to do it. No time left for really important stuff like saving the electorate’s lives ... 🙄
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Seems to me there never was. Neither of the main parties seems to have shown any intelligence or foresight when making planning rules for housing, transport, social care...

I note they're now all declaring support for Boris. A cynical person might suggest they're looking for a place in his cabinet, but surely that's not the case???

That's a gorgeous view, Chicky.
