Given that the only people who can vote are paid up members of the Tory party, I see no point in watching TBH. "The blond leading the bland"
    Devon.

I think we watched for two reasons ... initially it was more in hope than expectation .... but then it was like watching a car crash in slow motion, and you know how you just can’t turn away from something like that ... 🙄

I think watching it would have simply depressed me that any of these are seriously considered worthy of the job
    Devon.

Indeed, that was the outcome on this sofa @Hostafan1

Watching it did at least inform our understanding of the Today programme in bed with our morning cuppa ...

why did RS wear a tie if he was going to remove it?

Was the way he sat on the bar stool (very different to the way the others sat) modelled  on Barack Obama?

How can BJ have got away with being such an idiot for so long and still be there? It can only be down to his overweening self-belief that convinces some folk that there must be something behind it ... poor fools.

Which boy band did they liken themselves to in the pre prog discussion?

Was the way that they all totally ignored and spoke over Emily Maitlis the worst case of misogyny seen on tv in quite a while?

Ill let you ponder that lot while I go to tennis  🎾 🤣

I don't think any politician could deliver milk, let alone Bre*it.
That's my political contribution for the year. Sick to death of all of them.

    Anyway - morning all/afties Pat.
Nice sort of day here after the overnight rain. No thunderstorms for us, although that's nothing unusual. I like a bit of thunder and lightning.  :)
Got the back grass cut yesterday, front has hardly grown since I cut it last week. Not enough warmth. Nothing else much happening out there either, although the  little wild orchid that appeared from nowhere last year, in amongst a Ligularia, is about to flower, so it's survived shifting to the pondside.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

the only "policy" I've heard from BoJo is to cut taxes for those who earn between £50 and £80K without telling us which other taxes would be raised, or services cut to cover the shortfall to HMRC

I wouldn't say any of them were lacking in the evil department. When you've got an utter, outright, amoral b*****d to compare them to, some might look OK, but anyone who has worked in education, the NHS, libraries etc might have something to say about that.

Anyway. Morning all (just). We are in post-GCSE weirdness here - all very nice, but not sure what to do with ourselves. That was a long haul.

Still enjoying having some moisture in the garden, though I think we missed the storms last night. It certainly rained, but I didn't hear anything and the garden's just damp, not awash.

Hope everyone's well, or if not well, improving.

I think Rory was less evil than the others, he at least was honest and said if they were going to improve social care and the NHS then cutting taxes wouldn't help to pay for it. He seemed a bit the odd man out, maybe he should be with the Lib Dems.

We are only about 30 mins from Dove and the heavy air made me too hot in bed then the rain woke me then the thunder woke me. Then the noise of OH falling down the stairs woke me. He'd gone to the loo without turning on a light and forgot where the bedroom was. Luckily only bruises, nothing broken.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
