Good morning. Hoping for a dry day to catch up on garden jobs today. I also have some wood ‘rounds’ from the fallen Apple tree which I want to sand and make into garden signs or house plant coasters and anything else I can think of. I also have an old chest of drawers to ‘upcycle’ so it will be sanding-central here.
Have a good day all, and have a good rest Pat.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Just seen the forecast - looks considerably warmer for the coming week here. Be great to be T-shirt weather at last!

Woodwork paint, gloss or stain, also works Dove. I've had to do several ceilings here unfortunately   ;)
Very satisfying job AuntyR. The end products will remind you of the tree's former glory too.
    Hi doc  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Good morning.   Sounds like everyone is busy.  Hope your OH is OK today BL and that you have been able to rest Pat.   Have fun with your sanding AR.

Lots of fun here yesterday with 7 ladies making decorative boxes from cardboard, padding and fabrics.   Bonzo was fine with everyone except the lady teaching us.  Barked every time she moved.   I have discovered curved needles have a mind of their own but can be tamed.

The lodger is an interesting chap and is a kleptomaniac.   There is an increasing collection of toys buried at the back of his travelling cage and lots of growling if we go near it but he's otherwise happy to play and be cuddled.   I'm off to help out at our patchwork exhibition this pm then dance class.  Other than watering, no gardening in sight this weekend.  Patchwork duties every day except Sunday when we have friends coming over for lunch.

Just realised I must stop weeding and come indoors ... I’ve not finished my homework for the writing group and we meet  tomorrow 😲 struggling a bit with the subject ...

    What's the subject?

“This must never be said” ... a bit odd really ... I’m new and joined mid term so I’m not sure how they come up with the subjects ... I think some of them write chatty pieces for local magazines so I’m wondering if we’ll get someone writing a diatribe about political correctness or some such ... not really my sort of thing but the group is quite eclectic ... other subjects have been more engaging.
