    Sweet dreams Pat.

I have retreated indoors too Dove.   Managed to get my squashes and courgettes planted out on the suny side of the PT but too hot and dry to plant the beets and baby salads so I've stashed them in the shade on the other side till later on.

Might just freshen up and go and sunbathe as this cold spring has left me very pale and short on vitamin D.

All summer pot plants are assembled, pots emptied and ready to be filled, compost bought .....now its the fun part of planting it all out 😀😀😀

    Lovely owl 🦉

Much better photo, using a proper camera.  He is looking like he is asking to stay

Looks to me like a recently fledged Little Owl.  We used to see Ma, Pa and babies quite a lot by day in Belgium but then one year they were gone and never seen again.

Chicky - photos please when done.

Tomatoes potted on ‘cis there’s no room yet to plant them in the garden ... ditto the Kalettes, chili’s and peppers kindly grown for me by @WonkyWomble.  All the forget me nots in the sunny bed have been hoiked out and replaced with cosmos, nigella and stocks... again courtesy of Wonky 😊
All the containers have been watered and I’ve put the seeper  hose on the shady bank for a couple of hours.

Indoors new potatoes from Cyprus have been scrubbed, carrots peeled and sliced and some beans prepped ... lamb chops and homemade mint jelly for supper 😋

Now I’m going to put my feet up ... after I’ve found and used the hand cream 😧🤚

I have delegated polytunnel digging to OH who will tackle it early tomorrow and shift the visible bindweed.  The toms are desperate to go in but will ahve to ake do with a liquid feed.  Once planted we'll probably resort to cardboard to cover the bare soil and try and control the bindweed a bit.

On the other side we have self seeded tomatoes from last year's crops and looking very lively thank you very much.  No idea what they'll be tho.   I have planted out 2 cucumbers which are now growing well and there's some Poire-melon doing well now and today I added 3 clumps of oca as an experiment.  Anyone grown that?

    That owl! What a treat!
    You’ve all been busy.
I have been at my Sister’s Birthday lunch, in a local cafe. It was afternoon tea style, with vintage crockery and beautiful home made food. I love to find a local business which delivers quality with a personal touch - I was really impressed.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
