Yes @Pat E he’s been in intensive care overnight. Apparently he was blowing his nose while going downhill so had a hand off the handlebars and a gust of wind took his front wheel and he crashed into a wall at 40mph!!! 😱

Monring all/afties Pat. Poor Mr Froome - they operated right away, but they're now debating if it could be career ending That was a great effort by your son Dove. These things can happen so quickly, and so easily- it could have been so much worse for that lady. I hope they find the person who owned the other car. When my car broke down on a tricky road, near where I lived [semi rural] the police came to the house and said we'd have to get it towed to the house to avoid it causing a problem. It was off the side of the carriageway, mostly on the verge, and on a straight section, but they weren't happy about it being there. Rain hasn't quite arrived here yet. Hope those that have been in the firing line of it all have wrung their socks out now. East side of Scotland has amber warnings.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Ooh Dove. I have that LP - Peter Skellern "Astaire". Haven't played it in years as I had no working deck. Now I have a deck but a dead hifi. Can't win.
It is calm here, weatherwise, but cool. Might get to 20C later.
Your son did well Dove. In Belgium, motorists have to have a warning triangle which they must put out to warn other drivers of a stranded or broken car. People are also legally required to stop and help if they see an accident. Doesn't, as far as I can see, make the roads any safer tho as people still speed, drink, use mobiles........ Here in the Vendée the region has the lowest rate of youth unemployment in France but also the highest road death rate for speeding younger drivers.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

The only reason I possibly wouldn't stop would be because I mainly drive by myself, and there's an obvious risk, especially at night. However, I think adrenaline would take over if I was in that situation. I couldn't go past if I thought someone was in trouble.

I have a triangle @Obelixx ... son has too ... he said the conditions were so bad a triangle wouldn’t have been seen and would have just been another hazard.
The CD we have is his Sentimentally Yours ... love it 😍

I’ve always loved his music ... I was so thrilled to find that, despite the age difference between us, OH already knew and loved his music. 👍 😊

I have to stay clean this am, just in case we get the document we need to get the archives and keys so I'm off to sew.
