    Morning @chicky and everyone else 😊 ☕️
I think you may be right ... but for how long, I wonder ... it is definitely warmer ... I just tiptoed downstairs and turned the central heating off ... but we’re planning a trip out today ... will this trigger another deluge ...?

Hope not @Dovefromabove....... enjoy your trip out ☀️

I’m walking the last two stages of the South Downs Way at the weekend (or is it the first two ......the Winchester end anyway), and the forecast is looking ok atm.

one more day at the saltmines to get through first though 🤪

Blue skies here today and last night there was enough for us to see a stranger - the moon - shining brightly for a while.

Outing today.   Off to La Rochelle for an MRI of the "unstable" knee today.  Can't get a closer appointment at Olonne before the end of July.  We may go on a boat trip afterwards round the port and/or isles and/or old submarine harbour....

No country walks for me yet but enjoy yours Chicky.    I do hope you all get some sun and warm now, especially those who've been flooded in Lincs.

Patch Wars - we have prevailed.  "Récépissé" recieved yesterday pm from the prefecture and the ex-president has had to hand over all the archives and keys.  New treasurer has gone off happily clutching all the accounts info so she can search for the missing funds and do the thing at the bank.  New secretary relieved.   Now we can have fun.

Meanwhile, the old guard have started a new club called "Secret of needles".   Just the one secret then.

Good news Obxx. But what a strange lot, eh?

Not raining here at the moment and looks quite bright. I may take the opportunity of the lawn actually having some moisture in it to reseed a couple of areas I'd given up on.

Should be good walking weather this weekend, Chicky. Not too hot, fairly dry. Hope it goes well.

Spotted "our" deer again last night about 9:30pm so not much light available for photos but you can get the general idea from these. Technical info is 1/10ths @ f4.5, 300mm, ISO 3200 which translates to nearly dark.

Went to Winchester last week for a gin festival in the Great Hall. Some traditional English entertainment laid on for us.

Just before they came into the hall they spotted a wedding party and gave them a delightful surprise performance.

    Found some street art too.

Morning all!  Just about down to earth now after our trip to Finland - head full of music still.   :)

I'll say this quietly... it was hot!  We were thankful to be listening to choirs and groups in an air-conditioned hall when the temperature was 30C and above.  It was down to 21 on Tuesday, our last full day - still a bit OTT for me, but lovely with a breeze, sitting by a lake under a tree...

...accompanied, when they thought we might have food, by some of these...

This lake had a rough 4.5km path round its edge.  It was only a 10-minute walk from our hotel in a southern suburb of Tampere... just lovely.   :)

    I've managed to read back.

Firstly, hugs & best wishes to those in special need - @Pat E and OH, and @Hostafan1 and hubby.

The machinations of the Patch Group have kept me enthralled, @Obelixx - well done for the takeover!

Great to see Talla back in action, and you too, @Lily Pilly - just don't overdo it, that's all...   :)

Best wishes for knees, shoulders, feet, hangovers and other painful conditions to all who are suffering them!

    Lovely necklace, @punkdoc .

Great bollards, @steephill!  (Sounds like an expression of surprise...?)  Round our way they get yarn bombed rather than painted.

Thinking of you and your OH, @wild edges.  Hope all goes according to plan...

And best wishes to everyone else!

Well that was a lovely day out ... a drive through lush countryside,  looking round a gallery and some window shopping in some very nice shops, a very good lunch at a foodie pub and a dawdle home through yet more lush countryside ... not a lot of rain and a bit more sun than we were dressed for ... now I’d better see what you lot have been up to ...

Hiya @Liriodendron 😊 good to see you ...
