@raisingirl good luck with your new dog, he sounds lovely.

I pulled up some weeds and mowed the biggest lawn, then it started raining. OH is tired and his leg hurts, he's going to the Doc on Tuesday. But I didn't have to cook tonight as he booked a table at the pub down the road for lunch and we were full of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Then I went to bed and slept for nearly 3 hours.

Good morning.   Lots to do today starting with getting all my gear ready for a day of stocktaking, committee meeting and patchwork group.  Chocolate hazelnut biscuis made last night.  Papers to print and lunch to make before I go.

    Coffee first tho!

I hope you managed a good sleep last night Busy-Lizzie and that OH's leg didn't keep him awake.  I have a "spare" appointment for an MRI scan in Olonne in July but won't cancel it yet till I've seen the GP about the results of Friday's scan.  Might need it for the other knee which is getting chatty.

Clear skies last night and a very bright full moon and Venus.  Still clear this morning with just a few wispy bits of cloud.   Hope you all get some drier weather today.

I just saw a brief report on TV saying that there had been a very heavy storm in SE France, Obelixx. I hope it didn’t reach your area.

    Morning all.
@raisingirl, you've clearly had more than this side. The lake still isn't up to the top of the overflow pipes but the ground is very moist . I was working  yesterday and didn't get rained on at all.
Met some cars as I was driving up a very steep lane exactly the same width as my van ( I could see nothing in my wing mirrors ) There was a car in front of me and a mini bus behind me  and 2 cars coming down which were reversing back up the hill. What a pig's ear of reversing he was making. Scraping his car on one side of the hedgerow then the other , zig zagging all over the place .
When the lane widened enough for us to pass I said a very polite "thank-you so much " but he just stared straight ahead totally ignoring me. Maybe he thought that driving a £60 Maserati Levante meant that everyone should get out of his way.
The couple behind had their window down too so I cheerily thanked them to. Husband was driving and his wife had an atlas on her lap.
" Welcome to Cornwall" I said. " Oh thanks they both laughed, " Is it always this narrow?"  " No" I said " somethings their even narrower" . They both roared with laughter, unlike Mr Maserati.

Love it Hostafan1!  I've been down those Cornish lanes with my daughter as well, my heart in my mouth. So glad I don't have to do them regularly.

Hi Pat.  No, all is calm here at the mo.  We're 20kms from the west coast, half way between La Tranche-sur-Mer and La Roche-sur-Yon if you want to look it up.  Haven't seen the news yet.  OH has been watching golf.

Hosta - I don't understand cars so low you can't see what's in front or so small you can't get a clematis in, let alone the weekly shop and a decent sized dog or two.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ I went to bed at 9 and slept until after 7  :o

Well done @Hostafan1 👍 😂.  I often find that the sight of a ‘27’ year old woman with a head of white hair quickly slipping her car into reverse gear
and preparing to show the advancing MCP how easy it is to reverse, triggers the need for him to show me that he can reverse even better than I can 🤣

The Levante is a big ugly vulgar "people carrier" kinda thing. ( but he still couldn't reverse. lol )

TBH I don't understand why folk spend £60,000 on ugly cars. Surely they could have bought something much prettier?
