    Hiya Dove and Hosta!

The strawberries were beginning to show red when we left for Finland.  They look exactly the same now...  well, not exactly.  Some of them are going black...   :o

However not everything is bad news in the fruit & veg line.  Plums are swelling; not as many as last year, which is a good thing for the tree at least.  The raspberry flowers are buzzing with bees.  The sugar peas have grown 10 inches at least!  And the old runner bean seeds which I found and shoved into the ground where I'd be planting them (if I'd remembered to buy and sow some in pots at the right time) have germinated and are several inches tall!!   :)

Sweetcorn I planted out last Sunday have had to be propped up again. Some stuff is bashed down, but I found some ripe raspberries that the blackbird missed. I just put foxys dinner out and I can hear the bass thumping away from the Donington download festival. We are 8 miles away as the crow flies.  My nephew has gone, I hope he has packed ear plugs as well as his wellies.

We've had a panicky evening. I've got the wrong day for the ferry! We have been before at 11.30pm which is the usual time for a night crossing. But this time, because of tide I imagine, the crossing is at 12.30am  jaw-drop-smiley-emoticon. So instead of sailing late on Sunday evening it's very early on Sunday morning. Thank God OH printed out a spare copy of the ticket this evening and I read it and realised. We will be leaving at midday tomorrow instead of Sunday.

We would have been ready to eat dinner at 7.45pm but instead I rushed out and spent over an hour checking and mending electric fences and moving the horses to new grazing. Luckily I'd prepared a prawn salad in advance and I had made a brown loaf this afternoon. Glad I managed to get the house sitter on the phone too.

I won't have time to finish the planting so I'll pot on plants and the HS will have to water them.

    Lovely photos on here today.

Hey everyone. Just checking in before bed. Good pics today.
Managed an hour gardening this evening - the only dry bit of the day!
    Have a lovely weekend all.

Have a good trip BL.  It takes longer but I much prfer car to plane trips.

Lovely photos Steephill and Liri.  Will you still get to Finland to sing when you move to Ireland?

MRI scan done but I won't get the results till next week.  They have given me a CD copy for my GP and any subsequent knee expert I may need.   We had a wander round the harbour afterwards and lunch.   Decided not to a boat trip cos the skies were grey again by then and the light too flat for decent photos.   Another time then.

Hope you get your knee sorted @Obelixx. We really liked La Rochelle when friends took us there a couple of years ago. Watched the men high dive from the ramparts into the harbour - scary!

Hope so, Obelixx.  This music festival runs every 2 years so there's plenty of time to plan.  There are flights from Dublin to Helsinki... actually we were there to listen, not sing, on this occasion (and find more music for the choir to learn).

Glad the scan is done.  Hope it leads to appropriate treatment and speedy improvement.  Knees are definitely badly designed...

Wow, Lizzie!  What a good thing you noticed the mistake in time.  Hope you get everything sorted before you go!

    Well spotted @Busy-Lizzie ... have a good journey 😊

Hope they can sort your knee out @Obelixx 🤞 .. mine’s a snapped ACL which can only be fixed by a fairly big op which they don’t recommend for twenty seven year olds 🙄

Snuggling under the duvet now so night night all ... sweet dreams 🛏 😴
