Good luck with it Lizzie. It takes a bit of focus, but definitely worth it. My sister's weight has always fluctuated, and she's done that silly thing of calorie counting to a ridiculous degree, and it's not sustainable. At the age of 60, she started going to the gym, and the difference it's made to her is incredible. She's never looked fitter, eats more normally, and is so much happier. I couldn't stand going to a gym, but it's usually about finding an exercise regime which you enjoy, and can therefore stick to long term.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yes Lizzie, I agree. I’m not too overweight, just a bit. I find it’s a bit easier to breathe when it’s cooler which is happening here. I do think I’m a bit stressed with all the chemo thing that Hubby is gong through and the tricky food choices. Time will tell. Thanks for your support.
It's usually every bit as bad for the person watching their loved ones go through it, and the feeling of utter helplessness. You'll get there Pat - together x

Unfortunately, many cancers appear as we age so we're inevitably too old to cope. On the other hand, we've been thru life's mill and larned that , in fact, we can cope and come out the other side, given support from family and friends and a positive outlook. Hang in there Pat. We're with you all the way.
More Patch Wars today. We've been to the Sous-préfecture to depose the new club info - officers and addresses - and have established that our predecessors registered a new club on the 15th May, aniticipating that nobody from the old one would present themelves and that they could then dissolve it and transfer all its stock and funds to their new club. They have not reckoned with our new treasurer and secretary.........
Cold here and windy and it's trying to rain. What I think of as FG weather. OH has spent his day so far cutting the grass and raking it up while I was busy with procedures elsewhere. He'll carry on this pm while I do more admin and some homework for the machine patch group's exhibition next week and then make a lovely warming Punjabi chicken curry for dinner.
Power to your elbows Lizzie!
I know what you mean about gym's FG tho I did go to one 2 or 3 times a week at lunchtime when I still had an office job back in the 80s. Looking forward to MRI on Friday so I can get my knee sorted and get back to daily walkies as I'm feeling blobby without it. Surprising what a 50 to 60 minute walk a day can do for your outline and general fitness.
Dove - I've looked at your link and really like those paintings. Thanks.

Sending hugs too Pat. The trouble is that this stuff arrives more often when we are getting old.
I had just hung out the washing this morning as the sky was blue and the sun was out, despite a bad weather forecast. A bit later a big black cloud arrived and dumped hail then heavy rain all over it. The garden now looks very tatty and the sun is out again.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Thanks again everyone. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Anyway, since it’s now 12.45am, better sign off. Been watching more old episodes of Murder in Paradise. 😊
