I havent made bread for years, silly question (I hope NOT) do you HAVE to use strong bread flour?  Dove I was up at midnight, 1.30, 3.30,4.30, finnally 7 (a lie in haha) at least most folk on here have some kind of mixer, food processor! When I met my Hubby he had one, with all these chopping, dicing, slashing things, I couldnt be bothered to assemble, dismantle, clean, I have got a cooks professional 10 speed.  Looked at reviews, amazon, which, independant.  The Aldi one came up very well, but I dont know when they will next have them

You can’t really make good bread without strong bread flour, but most supermarkets sell it. I use ‘own brand’ of whichever supermarket I happen to be using.

    I use this recipe https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1916656/easybake-bread

I usually use approx 400g wholemeal and 100 white. I often
add seeds to the mix ... a favourite is to add 100gms pumpkin seeds, but today I used chopped walnuts instead.

I use the Kenwood mixer dough hook to knead on Slow for 10 mins and bake in a loaf tin for 30 mins at 180.

I’m having a crust and some Camembert for my lunch 😋

Ah, you talk my language Dove, my Hubby only likes Hovis white sliced farmhouse, for years he ate the warburtons version, now Sainsbury have stopped stocking it, (found out on Monday!) yet it was often sold out, so it was popular, now only Morrisons stock it. he says my diet is bird seed and rabbit food.Have already copied the receipe out, always have nuts and seeds in the cupboard, (twitch twitch!!!)do you sprinkle the seeds on top before cooking, your lunch sounds wonderful, I will bring my Sarah Raven quick salad mix, got any balsamic or blue cheese dressing!
