Well Dove, we certainly have the patch equivalent of that big red bus pasted with lies about funding........   Public hols here so no progress till Tuesday now.

Never did like that kind of teacake.   Far too "industrial process" for me.

Thanks for the tips folks. I don't have a brolly LP, but I have some canes that I can stick in round the existing support, and a big trug I can put over them. I actually did that when they were roughcasting in January, as there was no real growth visible, but they took the trug off and used it to mix their mortar!
Jeez Obelixx - it makes you wonder how these people operate in real life. I remember when I worked at our Playgroup, we had parents doing some of the administration. One year, one of the dads was the treasurer, and for the first time ever, there was a 'problem' with the accounts. Guess what his day job was? Yup - banker.
Feel free to think of the rhyming slang for that an' all.
I managed to dodge the black clouds when I was out AuntyR. Think Rafa's on a promise. He'll hold the record for the most Grand Slam wins if he does. Fab.  :)

If you you’re not watching the tennis you’re missing some really good tennis ... this doesn’t look like a walkover for Nadal so far  😶🎾

Nope.  Busy doing admin and trying to absorb The Planets by gentle osmosis.   Still fascinating and still boggling but less so than at first go.

I can see why Pdoc wanted to study astrophysics........

Looks dreadful Dove.   I see there's a big fire in Glasgow too and a very worrying report of a woman being struck by lightning out on the Scottish hills.

I only managed to get one clem planted in the end.  Got distracted down the polytunnel which was a mere 22C so I've closed its back door and then cut back branches overhanging the rhubarb and then watered the pot nursery.   When I did get to the clematis the soil was lovely to dig after all the rain but full of stones and bindweed which needed prising out and sifting, respectively.   One stone was so awkward I lost my balance and fell in the hole!

Now working out how to roast a chuck with mashed, blackened garlic under the skin.

PS Patch wars are good for my vocabulary - patacaisse and estomaqué today.

Thankfully the building in Glasgow isn’t inhabited 🙏
Awful about the lightening strike ... so sad 😞

@Hostafan1 borders coming on beautifully, I know how hard you’ve worked on that.
A hedge of Gaura will look lovely there😀

It was Jordanhill College,Dove and  at least it wasn't a weekday which could have been much worse.
I hope that fire in London isn't another Grenfell situation either. :/
Freak accident with the lightning. Very sad. Na Gruagaichean in The Mamores. There's no shelter once you're up there so unless you see it coming and get down onto lower ground, you're pretty much stuck. It was a group from Linlithgow, where my sister lives. My BIL may know some of them, as he walks too.
Been out doing stuff but I need one of the girls to help me shift the wee greenhouse. They're not going to be back home until later so they'll be  thrilled when I tell them.
    Grass cut as well.
Forecast looks good for tomorrow, so I'm thinking of getting a hill.
