Shame about the lovely old apple tree @AuntyRach 😢 but remember what we always say ... a lost plant is a new planting opportunity...
Just treated myself to lovely scrambled eggs on walnut bread toast. That loaf disappeared at a rate of knots ... I’d better make another one this morning.

@raisingirl re Kenwood mixers ... just make sure you get one that has a motor with enough oomph for the amount of dough you’re going to make. Long ago a friend bought a sort of ‘Kenwood Lite’ and burnt the motor out making bread.

Good morning all, afternoon Pat and Mr Pat😀 Hosta.....Hosta plants that you don't have?!? Well I'm glad to see you put that right quickly enough! Big hugs to you both x AuntyRach, so sorry about your beautiful tree! I think I'd ramble a rose over it! Crazy amount of rain last night arrived for Rod Stewart playing at the football ground a couple of roses away...sounded so loud I could hear every word over gardeners world!! Best bit was when the sound engineers played pink Floyd's shine on you crazy diamond in the afternoon to test the sound system. It was ringing out through the sky and people of all nationalities came out onto the street and stared at the sky and said....what is this music...It's beautiful!! 😀 More rain today so I don't know if I'm going to be able to assemble my solar powered pond pump fountain thingy 😏 Have a good day all! 😀
Morning all/afties Pat. Stay nicely tucked up Yes good to back in the swing of it. Aunty R - that's a shame. That's the problem with rough weather once trees have their foliage. It was possibly on the cusp of 'going' already. OH will be glad of a few days off, Dove. Don't be sending him outside for gardening chores The distance isn't always very relevant Lizzie. I do have a GPS, but I don't like it. I just use it for the general stats. I had a look after your post, and it was 8.7 miles in just under 4 hours of moving, which is quite good as I'm not fully fit for a bigger day yet. On tougher hills, you can't go that fast. I usually put some pix on the camera thread. I might do that just now while it's raining.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
There's not too many jobs out there at the moment that I can't do @Fairygirl , not since @WonkyWomble spent a day working here with me and he needs to be spending time in the studio ... if he doesn't spend enough time there he's just not himself The forecast is for a week of wet so there probably won't be the opportunity to get out a lot anyway.
Glad you enjoyed you own private festival Wonky
Bread dough is proving ... had to add pumpkin seeds instead of walnuts tho' ... looks like 'someone' has been stealing walnuts to add to his morning muesli

He has his own supply of sunflower seeds to put on his morning Weetabix Dove. It lives on the cereals shelf and not in my baking goodies cupboard.
RG - I looked at serious Kenwoods but they are much more expensive over here than the Kitchen Aid whose looks I also prefer as it sits on my kitchen worktop. Also, for some reason the Chef came as one machine with all the bits and pieces, some of which I'd never use so the KA made more sense for that too - just needed a second bowl and the mincing and grating attachment.
The winds have died down to reasonable levels - for March - and we've had more rain overnight. The bindweed which was weeded in the new rose bed just last week has grown 6" above ground overnight! Hoping to get at that and other weeds tomorrow. Cleaning and bed making today - literally as we've been putting the new feet on. Possum landing at 5:30.
Lovely hostas Hosta. We have bought some pre-cut raised bed kits to grow my lot so I can give them some shade and better snail protection. Belgian slugs were never this voracious.
Must get on so greetings to everyone. Hope the weekend proves enjoyable for you all and big hugs to all who need it for whatever reason. I hope the storms pass thru leaving your gardens relatively inscathed.

@Obelixx 😆 mine has his own supply of walnuts and other packs of nuts and seeds in the top cupboard ... he must’ve run out without telling me and searched for and found my stash of nuts in the baking cupboard .... he needn’t think he’s got the whole of his next day off entirely to himself ... he’ll be going shopping 🤣

I wouldn’t send mine anywhere on his own! 😀 We met one of his mates in lidl the other day, pile of shopping on the counter, I asked him if she’d given him a list, No he said, I just get what we need. Now, if I sent mine out he would come back with crisps, chocolate, biscuits, and probably some rolls because he loves bread.
