Where round Lincoln was flooded @GWRS , I know of Potterhanworth bridge underpass being flooded but no where else.
  • Took out the outdoor tomatoes & bagged them for disposal as blight has set in. The blight resistant ones are still holding up -just. Put remaining butternut squash in greenhouse for a final hardening off.

I had a spell when notifications did happen , now they are fine , I just put done as one of life’s mysteries!!!!
Had a good day at plot o/h cut the Aspragus done and I mulched it
Autumn raspberries cut down but have mulched that yet , so a big pile for burning
Tidied up 3 small beds and covered with horse manure
Also trimmed Lavender bushes with hedge trimmer , they where getting to big

  • Wishing you a speedy recovery @Gardengirl..
Our society AGM yesterday, sadly the usual apathy, less than half the membership ever bothers to come. If the site was threatened with closure they would soon be up in arms but they expect the usual few to do all the work running the place.

Managed to get some digging done last week but then more rain and it's too wet to dig again, still managed to get the brassicas fenced and netted before the pigeons and deer start looking for food, staked the pear tree as it seems to get flattened by any strong winds, and checked the hedgehog house, no sign of hedgehogs ever using it but it looked as if wasps had tried to build a nest.
