@purplerallim , hello , just had an almighty down pour , it seems to me to be very localised , was going to cut lawns but far to wet now
Hopefully it filled my water butts as they are empty
Picked our first courgettes from allotment the other day and some blueberries 🫐

My water butt is overflowing now @GWRS , it came down in floods. Even while I was out today it was spitting, and we are due some more. The poor Sunchocola cherry toms outside were nearly ready, so a few burst with the sudden surplus watering.

We have had spits and spots on & off all day, warm and muggey in between.  Perfect conditions for blight 😱

  • In non vegetable related allotment news...we have a string trio from the London Symphony Orchestra playing at our site on Sunday which is such a fun prospect. Hoping for a good crowd for it, we could do with some beauty.

  • We will be using the parking space near the entrance to the plots as it will give them a nice level and concreted floor. With a marquee in case the weather turns wet @Gardengirl.. it will certainly be novel and have had some good responses on social media and other plot holders.

My few tomatoes are still growing and doing well, runner beans now in flower and few tiny bits of beans on my french beans - purple queen dwarf ones - would like to grow them again really pretty purple flowers.
keep getting male flowers on my squash plants so none growing yet
few people turned up today that have not been there for a good while think they know that the council officer come back from holiday this week so prob do an inspection soon - as they were ones that we think got letters to improve their plot last time she came around
